It will never happen. The last few MMOs that have been made lost a ton of money by the big studios. SWTOR, Warhammer, AOC. No company is going to invest 50-150M for that much of a gamble. There will never be another subscription based game that hits 5M subscribers.
The only possibility is something like EVE.. a very small budget game that took 8 years to go from 10k to 400k subscribers, which is still nothing compared to WOW.

The problem is that with every failure it is less and less likely that anyone will want to invest any amount of money into a real MMO. What company in their right mind, sitting on 100M is going to say ´hey, let´s try an MMO´... after seeing what happened to pretty much everything since WOW. SWTOR probably lost close to 50M dollars that they will never get back. AOC lost 25M dollars.
I think Elder Scrolls will be the last big house that releases a MMO. Not sure of their costs, but I would bet they aren´t going to break even.
Nice deflection. Logical fallacy #1. Attacking the post instead of actually proving me wrong.
Logical fallacy #2. First, the onus to "prove" this is on you since you made the absolute statement that the game has the best gameplay and fluidity. Second, the onus is on you to prove the existence, not on me to prove the non-existence.
2 for 2 on logical fallacies. Cheers.
I would say not likely. Not unless a company with enough resources can come out with a polished MMO that has not only a strong fan base but also strong, long history of lore as well as almost 8 years worth of content already built in to it.
Nobody is trying to "impress" you. As it is, your general lack of understanding of the English language is pretty unimpressive in its own right. Not to mention your clear inability to back up your claims. You're pretty good at logical fallacies though. That's #3 up there. At least you can look back and feel like you've accomplished something. Way to go, champ.
Yes. Titan (probably).
I've always come back to WoW... None can compare!
The next Blizzard MMORPG could.
Thing is, there's too many Blizzard fanboys that does not allow other dev's to succeed because they only want what Blizzard makes.
I myself cannot login anymore. Played since release, this game keeps feeling too old for me.
WoW is going to be dead once Warhammer Online comes out mark my words
But should defeating WoW really be the goal for an MMO to strive for?

lol that crack me up a bit.
maybe titan has a chance who know.
Many of MMO's have already Beaten WoW for some people keep that in mind these things come down to the individual for example I know players that went to play rift/swtor that have enjoyed them so much they never returned to wow therefore "Those games defeated WoW for those people".
The developers of WoW will kill WoW, they have already showed it the last 2 years that they are very capable of killing i by themself.
WoW did not define the MMO genre, WoW destroyed it and turned it into a festering cesspool of wanna-be pros, overly simplistic gameplay, and was the perfect environment to breed out this generation of MMO players; The Entitlement Generation. It stopped being a good game a long time ago, people still play it because they feel attached to the game after spending several years and tons of cash on it.
