    Looking for a keyboard

    Heya!
I'm looking for a keyboard... especially a mechanical one, I had one when I was younger and I have tried many of them. I currently use a razer lycosa, but he's dying (Oh! What a surprise!). I have no specific budget limit, but the more cheap is the best,(under one hundred is better) I don't mind getting another Razer product because I love them dispite their poor longevity. If you ask me a specific switch, I would say Cherry mx Blue because of the divine sound they does, but I need to be able to type (A LOT) and I will be using them for gaming as well. I don't want a to big activation force (to be able to type fast, but something close to my razer lycosa (membrane keyboard) should be perfect).

TL: DR , I need a mechanical keyboard, cheap, and a hybrid for gaming and typing

I don't really know the keyboard market since I used my keyboard for a while and before him I had a laptop

    P.S

I've heard that mechanicalkeyboard.com sells mechanical keyboard... but I find a blank page =(

You left off the s, here's a linky:
    https://mechanicalkeyboards.com/

I've heard good things about this one:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16823816001

Though it is Red Cherry MX not Blue. It also surpasses your $100 soft cap and is not available on the site you suggested.

How about this Cooler Master for $87 (canadian)?

It has MX-Brown switches, which are similar to blues, but without the click, and therefore a bit more of a hybrid switch for typing/gaming.

This DasKeyboard is a bit above your price point, but is quite good for a keyboard with MX-Blues. $130 CA

I hope I am not mistaken that you are in Canada.

Edit: If I am correct, and you are in Canada, you might want to check out prices for boards on http://www.ncix.ca/

If you're okay without a numpad, Cooler Master has a couple offerings with blue keys:

Cooler Master CM Storm QuickFire Rapid ($79.99)
Cooler Master CM Storm QuickFire TK ($99.99)

Razer also has a 10-keyless and a full sized BlackWidow, just make sure you get the 2013 editions (previous versions do not have a very high NKRO and suffer from the random unresponsive button issues):

    Razer BlackWidow Tournament Edition ($79.99)
    Razer BlackWidow 2013 Expert ($99.99)

I personally would go with one of the Cooler Master keyboards because they're awesome, but there's nothing wrong with the Razer offerings above either (which is something I rarely say :P). Other than that: Das, Ducky, Corsair, Filco and ZOWIE all make pretty excellent mechanical keyboards.

I might go with the blackwidow, never tried any cooler master keyboard (only cases/fans ).

I know that linus did a review on a blackwidow, I'll go check it.

Do you know where I can get some custom key caps? and does they fit on every mechanical keyboard??

The new Corsair k95 is probably my next keyboard for sure it's a good brand, mechanical, and has a good layout.

they are made in the same factory as Filco, which is one of the top brands, they don't have the same high quality and attention to detail as a Filco, but it's still better than the blackwidow

If it was me, I'd wait til the k95 gets released. I have an Aivia Osmium, and I really like it, but...I wanted a k90 originally, but I couldn't get over the fact that all the keys weren't mechanical, so I got the Aivia instead. Now the k95 is coming out and I'm half tempted to buy it and either take my Aivia to work or just sell it on amazon.

CM Storm QuickFire Rapid (if you want tenkeyless).

The Corsair K95, with extra keys like the G15, won't be available for a while and will not be cost less than the existing K90 (don't get this one) which costs more than $100.

If you are absolutely sure you want the clicky switches, then get MX Blue switches otherwise get the MX Browns. But in general, MX Blues are dedicated typing switches and are almost always the loudest keys too.

My personal preference would be the QuickFire Rapid with MX Red switches. It's tenkeyless which is better for your shoulders and posture, especially if you're a dedicated WASD/ESDF player. The MX Reds have low activation force and are highly linear, so optimized for APM. But since you are a heavy typist, the tactile feedback of MX Browns would be better for you.

Rest I fully agree with noteworthynerd and I would add another recommended mechanical keyboard brand: Noppoo Choc.
