Unfortunately, being deaf prevented me from joining in my prime, but now a days they make special exception for people to join. So yes, I would have joined up to serve my country even WITHOUT the threat of war. I love the USA and would defend it with my last breath. Braver men than we fought for these freedoms and I would not sit idly by and allow their sacrifice to go without reward or acknowledgment.
The greatest country on Earth deserves every ounce of support I could offer
I wouldn't be able to help with anything, so no I wouldn't join.
In a heartbeat.
Mountains rise in the distance stalwart as the stars, fading forever.
Roads ever weaving, soul ever seeking the hunter's mark.

The nerve is called the "nerve of awareness". You cant dissect it. Its a current that runs up the center of your spine. I dont know if any of you have sat down, crossed your legs, smoked DMT, and watch what happens... but what happens to me is this big thing goes RRRRRRRRRAAAAAWWW! up my spine and flashes in my brain... well apparently thats whats going to happen if I do this stuff...
I would sign up right away. Not a hard choice.
Because some people don't really have a choice to live in their country? Not everyone can just pick up their crap, get a visa/greencard and or other nationality and just leave...
OT: Hahahahahahahaha no. I might fight back, but I'd do in on my own terms with a group of vigilantes that I lead. No way I'm taking orders from old coots who won't get into combat themselves.
I would take the 1.st plane with my family into australia.
1.st because we wouldnt stand a chance
2.nd because the nation would probaly get enslaved
3.rd because 95% of our politicials are old comunists
4.th bad ground too set up the defense (only thing that would work is guerilla war)
5.th outdated milatary (compared too america tehnology our is in pretty much stone age)
6.th i would lose everything, land ,whealth, many family lifes and so on
Don't sweat the details!!!
Ergh... If i thought it was justified - yes.
But as such im already considering joining the navy, it's offering me quite good career progression after attaining my HND from my apprenticeship. (The RO even dropped a line, of a possible bursary fund - to attend uni)
This is months and months away though, and im still young - so im just keeping monthly contact while working.
I call BS
I've served in the war and those dudes shot at ANYONE.
Need more proof?

He be a primarch - the mightiest make belief general, ever conceived!
Joke's aside, i'd be hesitant of leading a large group of men - im concerned with there well being for one, and the fact i'd take it upon myself to visit there family's in the event of there death.
Alot of people view war as a game, i'd be willing to bet there the first to die...
