I loved how every spell was different from each other even though it may have been a bit unbalanced. I loved how every class had different itemization like needing a spell damage weapon for tanking on a Paladin.
Seriously, I loved how vastly different all the classes where instead of having all the same movesets and gear requirements now.
I loved how everyone thought within the box that Paladins were meant to be Healbots only, but were baffled when they did own the DPS meters with Retribution or tanked like a Boss in Protection.
I absolutely LOVED being surprised by people thinking outside of the box, people who could do the unthinkable and that's what drove me to be a tank back in the days.
Nowadays Blizzard forces you into the box with no way out (DRs, gear sets, talents, homogenization etc) and that just really killed WoW for me.
This whole mindset of: "Yeah but the casual people those who are just new in the game must see it too thats why we do X and Z and then Y!!11" is just depressing for me. I was new too in TBC and went from noob to pro during that time. I visited all the places, dungeons, raids and bosses as tank and even though it was very stressful at times, it was a very epic road.
I don't just miss old spells, I miss old WoW. :'(
