Read a nice book when going to bed, you'll get lost in the book and fall asleep without noticing(At least I do). As the transition from fiction(book) to reality(sleep) occurs seamlessly your brain can't separate the two and you have wonderful dreams related to the book. Trust me, it's awesome

I read before I sleep all the time, never had any weird dreams related to the books.

I always read until I fall asleep. I never let myself know when I stopped reading. I usually wake up when the book hit the floor though

Also, I go to bed too late to read most times. If I went to bed now, I'd get about 6 hours sleep. Which is actually tempting, as I've not been able to day sleep for a few days now.

Garosh went toddling down the road of Mistbrook village(Or whatever) when 4 bandits jumped up from a bush. The bandits looked malnourished and weak, they wield rust covered swords, one which has broke off in the middle, presumably from it's wielder hitting a rock for no apparent reason. Garosh slowly gestures with his hand in a sideways motion, silently communicating that he is calm and doesn't want trouble. But it's just a decoy to mask that he is reaching for his cleverly hidden throwing knife that he earlier strapped onto his thigh. With a swift motion Garosh throws the knife into one of the bandits neck. The bandit grasp for air but the cold blade in his neck has punctured his bronchial. Seeing their friend slowly dying from affixiation causes the bandits to run away in fear. Garosh teabags the bandit and loots him for 5 gold coins and the bandits memoirs....Blbblabla and 5 points to griffindor.
