So is the future loaded with sexy gene pools? Or is plastic surgery mandatory by law?
I gave it a try, figured it would be good for a laugh if nothing else. The launcher alone delivered on that front, with an ad for their '50 shades of pink' in-game lingerie. Yes, you spend real money to unlock sexy outfits for your characters among other things.
After the initial 'lol' at the stupid amounts of digi-boobs & innuendo everywhere the gameplay wasn't terrible. Fast paced, graphics are decent, environments & enemies somewhat creative, there seems to be the roots of some kind of plot in the starting quests but I only could be bothered up to about level 6. Gold spammers flooding chat as expected, as well a guild called Funtari recruiting, player names like 'AnalPrincess' etc.
Has a few nice features, like quest drops being auto-looted, but auto-run to objectives kinda makes the game feel like auto-pilot (literally just click on the quest shortcut to auto-run to the objective).
The RP perspective is a bit weird, it seems that you are unseen commander telling your cyborg/clone thingy what to do, so the character you fight with in game isn't actually 'you' in game, making it a mix of your cyborg talking to you & people talking to her.
Obviously a Queens Blade wannabe game , a formula that works (sadly).
There's a lot of freakish things out there, queens blade is one of them and wether it is asian or not doesn't matter that much.
Now to get to the point - as silly or weird as series like these are they are a manifest of sexuality running amoc which works on certain audiences if done right.
I have no urge to play Scarlet Blade at all considering I find it a blatand rip-off of such a manifestation and truth be told, I rather play TERA's cute loli characters or elven then something THIS over the top sexual and just poor taste.
I keep getting adverts for this, and to me it just looks like porno.
I really wish the game industry would move away from fuelling the overly perverted desperate nerds, and actually build a game where the armour wasn't a skimpy slutty outfit while they giggle and jiggle everywhere....
I'll just.. leave this here..
I find this game highly lol-worthy, but not offensive in anyway, I can't take the game that seriously.
"In order to maintain a tolerant society, the society must be intolerant of intolerance." Paradox of tolerance
Well at least its F2P is more F2P that some other "F2P" game I know....
Also this doesn't have to do anything with the anime. They probably changed it's name in the west in order to avoid copyright problems.
All in all it's a nice game if you have nothing else to do. Like Tera for example.
If it actually had decent gameplay, I'd play it!
That said, I googled "Queen's Blade", saw the cosplayers and even I have second thoughts now, lol...
The vocal samples of the classes on the website make me cringe. At least it gives a preview of how a class is supposed to look and sound like.
The game really is fan service material for those who enjoy the fictional female body (fictional as in unrealistic proportions) in action. I might give a try for giggles, but even TERA seems a bit more sophisticated in the long run.
