Should you stop playing games if they give you unnatural stress?

When I play League of Legends, I honestly feel like I want to kill myself. Not really exaggerating, but it's remarkable how much a game can give you this much stress and mental pain.

Yeah, if a game's affecting that badly, then quit.

Generally if I find myself getting frustrated, the best thing to do is to stop for a while.

The other night I was playing Dragon Age II, one of the DLCs and it was late and I got to the boss at the end, Corypheus I think his name is. He kept killing me. I turned the difficulty down and he still kept killing me. I gave up and went to bed.

Woke up refreshed and killed him with one shot because I had the presence of mind to come up with a new strategy.

Point is, don't let stress take a hold of you. You'll play better and feel better.

Please stop, this is serious, stop now. Unnatural stress is dangerous as hell and can cause really serious health problems. This is in the lines of smoking or obesity, and don't do that either! Stop it!

It's quite hard to compare a single player game to a PVP game isn't it?

Not really. If you're getting stressed out over a PvP game, quit.

Then the next morning you can think of what happened and if that scenario comes up again, you can have a better idea of what to expect and how to react.

The only real difference is that there are more variables to PvP players because they don't follow a script. But they are within the confines of the game's rules and therefore you can plan for some contingencies.

You think better, analyze better and react better when you aren't stressed. That was the real point I was trying to get at.

Frustration is frustration, doesn't matter what causes it. I still can't take your threads seriously, but you should probably just stop.

But it's not any other game. It's just League. I've honestly never had such an experience with my temper before this game.

Well there are some games you just don't like. Quit. I did the same with WoW.

Its funny. LoL has never made me want to kill myself. It has made me want to murder others by strangling them with their own entrails though.

I have the same in SC2, I can get so frustrated at myself that I loose my sleep lol. And this is at a low level

Uh.. not sure if this is a troll thread but... If you feel the need to kill yourself over a game, I think it's time to take a step back.

its probably not the game that makes him go insane, but rather more the players who play it :>

-still the same rules apply i guess -> stay away from weirdos that make you want to kill yourself!

Do you really not know the answer to your question?
Did you really need to ask complete strangers for their opinion?
If yes, then you should burn your copy of the game and unplug your comp for a long time

games are about fun and relaxing the complete opposite of stress... which is why i do not play lol and other type of games like that because as with you i get unhealthy stress from them. also remember that sometimes it's not necessarily the type of game you play but how long you play for try taking a 15 minute break go walk around and take some air between games it will help tremendously

It is very childish to lose your temper and get stressed over a game, turn off the computer and do something else.

Come on now. I and everyone here would be remiss if we didn't get pissed off every once in a while from playing video games. That's part of the appeal.

That being said OP, if you legitimately wanted to off yourself or another person because of video games you need to have your head examined.
