I was just banned from an internet forum. Have you ever been banned from a forum?

Think the only time I have been banned on a forum was a forum some 'friends' from High school put up. We were using it to coordinate get togethers and such and one day I was banned. Found out later that day that they had all cut off contact from me too. No reason giving, just a bunch of little shits being little shits.

Out of my like 5 posts on Teamliquid I have been banned twice.

The level of moderation on those forums is just way too high for me to post anything. I mean I still haven't
been banned a single time on MMO-Champ, only 1 infraction I think.

I have been permanently banned from the official WoW forums since the start of MoP.

I started slow . . . I self censored a swear, as in I wrote &#@* instead of "fuck" or whatever the word was suppose to be and got a week ban.

Then I posted "It's okay to not like things" in a thread with a douchebag being a dick because he doesn't like MoP . . . and got permabanned.

Oh well, naught there but complainers and "WAAAH BUFF MY CLASS NERF MAGES!" . . . . unless you're a mage . . . then its "MAGES ARE WEEK! BUFF PLOX!" with the occasional rant about how Ghostcrawler somehow personally offended someone and kicked a puppy for no reason . . .

I got banned from this one for a week for something several months ago. Don't recall why.

That would be true if it wasn't Blizzard's forum in the first place and they set rules that you have to agree to follow in order to retain your posting privileges there. If you don't follow the rules, then you lose posting privileges.

Eh, they're a bit heavy on the banhammer anyways. But yeah, their forum, their rules.

Mods on Team Liquid are incredibly strict. I thought I had things right this time around. I had been banned in the past, but never permanently. Eventually I asked the mods if I could start over and thought I finally got the hang of it, then bam! My six month streak of good behavior came to an abrupt end with a permaban. I swear, EvilTeletubbies has it out for me.

I have received two infractions on MMO champion, one of wich was due to my ignorance of reading the rules of posting on old threads, and one was due to me being extremely frustrated and saying not the nicest things about ACTA. - I occasionally flip. I don't like this.

I've gotten permabanned here (lifted), permabanned on a writers' forum where 90% of the posters are cranky old fucking women, and permabanned on the WoW forums twice.

Suck it up and move on.

I've received a few infractions and temporary suspensions here and there over the years that I've been foruming, but never a permanent ban. Well that changed a few days ago and it doesn't feel very good, it feels kind of hurtful, in fact. I feel as though the ban was unfair, though I do admit, I was rather antagonistic with a few posts. I had been a member of the forum for about 6 months and had a few hundred posts, I never expected to get permanently banned, especially since I never received a warning or infraction first. It's just the internet, I'll get over it, but it's not an experience I'd like to repeat. Has anyone else ever gone through a permanent ban on a forum?

Note: The ban was for making posts that the moderator deemed "politically polarized" and "heavily biased." I'm discussing the ban with the moderating team in an attempt to get it shortened, or even completely repealed, but I'm not holding out much luck.

And yep i got banned from a certain forum that we all frequent, 3 days wasent too bad at all.

Actually Moot will sometimes block people's IP from even /b/ The only board I would never consider trolling is /tg/. They are all brilliant tactician that will out maneuver your troll and get you banned...

I defiantly got banned from /b/ since that is the only board I post in. I usually go on when im drunk so I don't remember what I linked but apparently it was against the law.

Those are pmuch most common ones that are violating laws and you get banned.

I got banned for posting request outside /r/ (even tho it was meant to be general thread, but i forgot they had rule about posting 6 pics to not make it request :I )
