    AMD External Events Client Module has stopped working?

    I just checked my reliability history today and found out that AMD External Events module keeps crashing. i don't know what it is or what it does, but when it does crash i don't notice anything, the pc acts normally. it started happening after i updated my catalyst software to 13.4m. few days ago.

    i have a laptop btw.

    It's part of the AMD control panel thingy. Whole control panel is really unstable piece of crap on some versions of the drivers so it's no wonder it keeps crashing. You can turn it off from services if you want to, or just do nothing if it's not a real problem. For some people (according to google results) that program even caused constant bluescreens.

    When I used ATI card last time about three years ago it got so bad I chose to do custom install every time I upgraded the drivers to get the minimal drivers only and went without CCC completely because it kept crashing left and right and slow down the startup quite notably.

    i just found out that this happens when i shut down my computer.
