    America, Jesus Land?

Fewer than one in six Americans accept evolution as scientists do: a materialistic, unguided process with no supernatural intervention.

think about it. dont even think about it.

Something has to put rules in place, after all. And anyway, this topic will likely get locked as the inevitable bashing starts, if not before.

according to the SAME gallop poll: And as usual, the more educated you are, the less likely you are to be a creationist and the more likely you are to be a naturalistic evolutionist (or a theistic evolutionist!)

So what? If they don't pursue a life in science I don't see a problem.

They vote. They vote for the people making decisions regarding science funding and regulation.

if you dont see a problem with this, the majority of the population is voting and making rules/judgements based off of uninformed/educated religious views.

think back how the world worked even a few hundred years ago with people burning others at the stake because of their particular views. thats not that long ago and it seems we havent evolved past that yet.

I'm the kind of guy that keeps an open mind (aliens, Men in Black, Bigfoot etc.) but believes in things when there is actual proof that it exists, happens or whatever.

This is bordering on nation bashing and religious talk, which are both not allowed here. This thread will not go anywhere good.
