Are noxxics DPS rankings trustworthy?

I looked at noxxics facebook page and saw this :

Rets are fourth, as always mages on top and surprisingly shammies top 3, how reliable is this ?

As far as I know, Noxxic pulls its data straight from Simcraft, which is assuming a single-target fight with zero movement and no adds, perfect play, and zero latency. It's useful if you want to know the theoretical maximums for each spec, but not really useful for judging actual combat potential.

I would imagine it's as reliable as any other simcraft... ie. - user error does exist. From that picture, we also don't know what variables are taken into account. (Movement, legendary meta, etc...)

However, if you take Arcane mages as an outlier (13k dps over 2nd place) There is a 10% difference between 2nd and last. That's pretty close.

Particularly for this tier which generally is considered light to heavy movement. It's a tool, just have to judge the source on how useful.
