Displayport problem

Hi MMO.


I recently bought a third monitor, not knowing I need an active displayport cable, so I went and bought the displayport cable, but the problem is now, the third monitor is active and identified by Catalyst as my third monitor but it's just completely black for some reason, the problem with that is I am using a VGA cabel with a DVI adapter that connects to the displayport cable.


Could the problem be that I'm using the VGA>DVI>DP?

Thanks would really appreciate some help.

Don't know if you need my GFX but it's a HD7770 AMD radeon, it does support 3 monitors

yep, you need an active DVI>DP adapter or a pure DP line, no VGA
