    Laptop - $2000 budget - need help!

    Hello!

I'm buying my first ever laptop for college/gaming. I made a thread about this before, and some people advised me to get a sager. Sounds like a pretty good idea. I'm looking for essentially a "desktop replacement", to play the new MMO's (TESO, wildstar) on ultra, preferrably, MOBAs, some SC2, single player RPGs, etc.

My question is this: I really don't know much about computer specs. But I noticed that some sager laptops start at $2000, which is my budget, and others are below this amount, with additions that can be added on for more money. I'm not really sure what I should do to buy the best possible machine for $2000. Any help would be great!
For reference, here is a list of sager laptops from their site: http://www.sagernotebook.com/index.p...elected_cat=11

    Thanks a bunch!
P.S. My college says I can use either Windows 7 or 8. Which is generally preferred among gamers?

EDIT: that's $2000 USD, I live in the Midwestern United States.

Why? It's faster than 7 and doesn't take much getting used to.

Here's the Sager Sager NP8250-S (Clevo P157SM) I put together on http://XoticPC.com. This minus the OS, but that can be added

15.6" FHD 16:9 "Matte Type" Super Clear Ultra Bright LED Anti-Glare Sager Screen w/ 95% NTSC Color Gamut (1920x1080)
    4th Generation Intel® Haswell Core™ i7-4700MQ (2.4GHz - 3.4GHz, 6MB Intel® Smart Cache)
    NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 780M 4,096MB PCI-Express GDDR5 DX11 [User Upgradeable]
    16GB - DDR3 1600MHz Dual Channel Memory (2 SODIMMS)
256GB Crucial M4 mSATA SSD - Preconfigured as an OS Drive ( Operating System – Drive C: )
    750GB 7200RPM [Serial-ATA II 300 - 16MB Cache]
6x Blu-Ray Reader / 8x DVDRW Super Multi Combo Drive
    Sager - Bigfoot Networks Killer™ Wireless-N 1103 (3x3)

    Price: $1999.99 USD

Edit: I'd probably also change the wireless card to this at no extra cost (better reviews, etc.): Sager - Bigfoot Networks Killer™ Wireless-N 1202 + Bluetooth™ 4.0 (Dual Band)
