Two years later: "We tried to make revolution on MMO market, but SWOTR happened"

Let's wait till they show some solid gameplay, and perhaps more detail.

A 40K game is always worth being excited for.

I just want some factions that aren't total tools. The Sisters of Battle and Imperial Guard would be great, but as for right now Im looking to the Orks

You can't put Guardsmen and SoBs in the same game as Astartes, it would either be far too tough on the humans or far too easy for the marines.

Imperial and Chaos Marines, Eldar and Orks seems like a good mix.

If it was anything but MMO i would agree, but with basically 80% of MMO's failing miserably under 1 year from release i simply can't trust this genre. Especially from studio that doesnt seem very experienced.

Not going to hold my breath for anything awesome. But if they deliver on even half those features listed, it should be worth a buy at least.

it's the ball and chain of RPG, that is making them fail. Destiny looks like a MMO borderlands, does THAT sound like a bad idea? I've loved WH 40K strategy games but the developer they have given it to.....doesn't have a great track record, possibly not giving it a shoed in movie game might be better? we can only hope.

I... just hope Games Workshop knows what the hell they are doing.

By that I mean they've done nothing of merit other than a bunch of shovelware titles.

Warhammer deserves better than this. Stop fucking it up Games Workshop.
Exactly. Just what is Games Workshop thinking?

Also, where the hell is Dawn of War 3?

    Just make another Space Marine.
With more mmo stuff tagged on.

Space Marine was awesome, and having more races and more stuff in there would be awesome.

Space Marine was so great on how it focused on Ultramarines, with no options to change it, and how non-repetitive the game was after a few missions... Right?

Oh crikey yes, by far the best video-game representation of 40k in general and Space Marines in particular.

    Well you can change it:

This is how all ultramarines should look like.

This might not be a legitimate MMO.
A traditional hotkey MMO maybe not. The new consoles will be able to run an MMO -perhaps a bit more action oriented due to the nature of a controller- perfectly well, and there are a couple of them announced already. It is true things are labeled as MMO fairly quickly these days though, most of them just for the sake of being an MMO.

As far as the Warhammer MMO. I don't really know what to think with this studio and all.

    That sounds... good.

Space Marine was the only non-RTS that did the Warhammer 40k franchise justice in recent years.

They nailed the "feel" of a Space Marine so well in Space Marine. You felt like the iron fist of the Emperor.

It's the bolter that did it for me. First thing I did when I got the demo (after the talky bit where you couldn't shoot) was fire off a couple of bolt-rounds and praise the Emperor that finally someone got it right. A friend of mine says he did the exact same thing, and TotalBiscuit's video shows him doing it too.

Also whilst they didn't go very deep in to the lore, they did get an awful lot of things right. I thought a particularly nice touch was having the Black Templars escorting Inquisitor Thrax when he takes Titus in to custody at the end.

    This ^

Planetside 2 but 40k would be enough for me.

also the dev company means nothing, look at bioware ME3, DA2 and SWTOR where all terrible games from a good company.
