Side note, for people using a computer in a dark-ish room, I highly recommend f.lux -- it adjusts the color temperature on your monitor after the sun goes down to be less harsh/glaring.

It takes a bit to get used to (try installing it during the day, make sure to set slow (1hr) transition), but it's definitely made my life better.

I found that it isnt as effective as some of them. But it works good if you don't want a harsh screen blur.
