The Witcher 3 E3 gameplay trailer

I'm shocked that i haven't seen it here...

    Gameplay trailer

    Developer diary

    Hidden message

    5 promising features by gameinformer

    http://www.gameinformer.com/games/th...wild-hunt.aspx

Somewhere there was a good impression post after the E3 presentation of The Witcher 3 on pcgamer.com or ign but i can't find it .

AAAAAnd eye candy physix feature that will be implemented in The Witcher 3

This looks very very very very promising, if they can combine the great story telling and story itself from The Witcher 2 with the greatest gameplay aspect of the open world rpgs like Skyrim, we can have an ultimate RPG of all time ...

The question is, can CD Projekt Red deliver? I believe in them, and i hope they can!

Now i want to know Your opinions

Don't wanna nitpick but i'm going to anyway. Skyrim was not the first open world RPG, nor is it the best; i loved it but it isn't the best. Not to mention Witcher 2 came before Skyrim, y'know time and such.

And Witcher 2 did have some aspect of open world to it.

I'm desperately jonesing for a new Skyrim-like Open world game... I'm really REALLY hoping this one will fill me up until ESVI.

I've never played the Witcher games... can anybody tell me the differences and similarities (besides the story) between the gameplay designs of ES and Witcher?

    Thx ^_^

The Witcher games have much better combat... LIKE MILES BETTER! You actually have to think about how you play (hardest difficulty at least) and it feels very nice and responsive.

The Witcher 2. £5 on Steam. GO BUY IT!

The Witcher 1 and The Witcher 2 are focused mainly one the story, there is no really open world. So if You like Open world games, previous Witchers might not appeal to You, but if You like some deep and mature story and if You like games that don't treat You like a retarded kid, You definetly will like The Witcher 1 and 2.

Skyrim story looks like a "Cindarella" story compared to The Witcher , that's how i see it.

Definetly You should try The Witcher 2 (Witcher 1 is pretty fucked up when it comes to combat system, but still it has inseane great story). You can check an Angry Joe review on this game. AAAAAAnd its for 7 or 4 dollars on steam if i see well

Thanks for the info! Sounds like Witcher 3 then is taking the awesome story, but expanding it to an open world gameplay style... I'll have to check that Witcher 2 deal!

/Goes to look for his Mac version of Steam

    ...shit! >_<

EDIT: Holy balls! I just checked on a whim... not only do they have Mac games on there, but Witcher 2 IS THERE FOR MAC! Thanks again! ^_^

Seeing that trailer actually made me re-download Witcher 2. I'm ashamed to say I never got around to finish the story. I shall use my vacation to rectify that mistake!

Boy ore they full of themselves.
Played Witcher 1, was relatively boring.
Currently trying to play Witcher 2, but didn't yet manage to get in properly.

Still, the thought of an open world RPG with a good storyline sounds very appealing to me.

You give far too much credit for Skyrim, calling it to be on par with Cinderella.

Ugh, all the things circulating about TW3, that there is proper monster hunting, you have to track them down and use tactics and so on. I really hope it's not exaggeration but I don't want to set myself up for disappointment.

I have one question. Can you customize your character's face or looks in Witcher 3? That was the only thing that turned me off from a buy in Witcher 2.

You could change his hairstyle in TW2 :P. But I very much doubt it, it is the story of Geralt of Rivia afterall.

My favourite game of all time...
It's sad that after The Witcher 3 there won't be geralt story.

Being ~5 minutes in to the first Witcher, I hope they moved away from what appears to be a modified Dragon Age: Origins engine.

Actually, it's the engine Bioware used for Neverwinter Nights, except heavily modified.
And yes they did, they made their own game engine for TW2, and they managed to make it one of the most gorgeous games in recent years, hell, it's still a great benchmark tool. :P Also they're using a new version of that engine for TW3 which is supposed to look even more amazing.

If you've seen the steam sale for The Witcher 1 & 2 and have played neither I would suggest something to you all.

Download the Full Combat Rebalance for The Witcher 1 & play it through. Then hold off until June 20th to play The Witcher 2, as the Full Combat Rebalance is going to be released then.

The FCR for TW1 was so good that CDProjekt hired the guy who created it and he's now one of the Combat Designers on TW3 and most of the changes in the FCR for TW2 sounds like it's going to play more like how TW3 will.

On The Witcher 3, I'm excited as fuck. I thought Skyrim had a nice atmosphere, but overall the game was extremely lacking, also the main storyline was pretty boring and lasted all of about 8-10 Hours. It's nice to see CDProjektRED keep their focus on the Main Storyline even when going open world (50 Hours of just Main Story made me drool), and hopefully they can pull it off. I wish I could just go to sleep and someone wake me up the day before the game releases.

I cannot begin to describe how excited I am for this game. I try not to get very excited for new games coming out because it's easy to set yourself up for disappointment. However, CD Projekt RED is an amazing company, and they are actually one of the few development teams that I have faith in these days. I really think that they can deliver a game as awesome as they describe.

Only 50? I heard that right now its 100 hours of story .

As for combat in The Witcher 1 indeed it was fuckin bad, but in The Witcher 2 it was even better than Skyrim (played both), the only issues were with targeting. But ofc i agree with You, wait for the combat enhancement mod, that will make the combat more responsive so You will have better experience. Just buy the game as it is on sale and wait for mod

That's 50 hours of main storyline, excluding all the side quests, exploring etc.
