Going for a custom build is the most cost effective choice and the listed builds have numerous non-optimal choices.

If these two builds are the only ones being considered, I recommend the first build with the 3770K. There may be issues that arise with multi-GPU configurations. The potential performance advantage isn't worth the $230.

Yes the first system but you should be looking into building it yourself, have a friend do it or let a company do it (but buy the parts you want). You get much better performance per £. I believe something like overclockers.co.uk will put the system together for you if you buy all the parts there.

    Example build:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

    CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor (£204.59 @ Overclockers.co.uk)
    CPU Cooler: NZXT HAVIK 140 90.3 CFM CPU Cooler (£64.88 @ Overclockers.co.uk)
    Motherboard: ASRock Z87 Extreme3 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard (£140.69 @ Overclockers.co.uk)
    Memory: Avexir MPOWER Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory (£51.90 @ Overclockers.co.uk)
    Storage: Samsung 840 Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Disk (£151.55 @ Overclockers.co.uk)
    Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (£56.90 @ Overclockers.co.uk)
    Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 770 2GB Video Card (£355.79 @ Overclockers.co.uk)
Case: NZXT Phantom 410 (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case (£96.05 @ Overclockers.co.uk)
    Power Supply: XFX 650W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply (£85.49 @ Overclockers.co.uk)
    Optical Drive: Samsung SN-208DB/BEBE DVD/CD Writer (£20.97 @ Overclockers.co.uk)
    Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8 (OEM) (64-bit) (£88.69 @ Overclockers.co.uk)
    Total: £1317.50
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

(buy whatever keyboard you prefer and add wireless card if you need that too)

Added an SSD to the system besides the regular HDD. 8GB is enough for gaming, so is the i5-4670k. Quality PSU. Other minor tweaks. Kept the NZXT case you had in the first build.

To be honest aidenx20 I agree with Notarget. You will be much better off buying the separate parts and getting someone to build it for you. The only thing I would disagree with Notarget on is the OS, get windows 7 as windows 8 is dog.

Whatever OS you're comfortable with and is cheapest at the time, there are pros and cons for both.
