Does such a thing exist? Basically where you pay with an online source to get a small account that can be used as a credit card online.

If you're wondering why I want something like this, it's because I'd rather associate my details with as few places as possible and if I could do it with only one place, but still be able to effectively buy things everywhere, that would be great. My current desire is to buy an online movie because I can't find it anywhere streamed legally.

Something like PayPal but using a credit account number in the same way that physical gift cards do.

Not really sure what exactly you're after but you can buy Visa/Mastercard/Amex gift cards in most B&M stores and those can be used for purchases online. You typically register at least your zip code on the cc giftcard website then you're able to use them the same as a real credit card.

Yeah given that it's the middle of the night, that's not really an option. I'm also not going to hoard a bunch of gift cards on the chance I want to watch some movie or make some donation to some person, etc.

I just figured there would be something like this with all the people trying to hide their porn subscriptions.

You are wanting a card that works like a bank card aka debt/credit card so you can buy things online but you do not want to make a bank account right?

You mainly want a card that you can put money on that has little to no fee's attached right.

If so I got a few choice's you can go with if you live in the US.

I have a bank account but do not want to use a bank account for this purpose. I want it to function exactly like a real life gift card, basically. And yes, I live in the US.

As I type this I'm realizing how suspicious this sounds. I simply just don't to give out my information everywhere.

Ok well there is two choice's I know of and I have used both.

The first choice is a Green Dot card you can get at your local walmart. You put money on it spend it as you see fit and it has a 3$ monthly cost and if you use it lets say buying stuff at a store there is a 2$ charge.

The 2nd choice is a Blue Bird Card you can apply for one from this site " https://secure.bluebird.com/Login/?ReturnUrl=%2fAccount%2fDashboard" or once again just go to walmart and pick one up. There is no monthly fee's and as far as I know no charge for using the card itself.

Both cards cost 5$ to buy them outright from the store if you apply for a blue bird card from the site it is free. At the time you buy the card it will be a temp card you can load any amount onto it and use it however you see fit and whatever one you chose after you contact them will send you a permanent card.

I personally would chose blue bird over green dot because I didn't like the monthly cost also with the blue bird you can put any amount you want on it and it dose not cost you anything but green dot has a 5$ charge and a min of 20$ you have to put on the card.

Not sure if this is what you was asking for but there ya go the only thing you put out is your SSI if you apply on the site.

Another choice is just spending 5$ and buy the temp blue bird cards whenever you feel like and just use those's so you don't have to give out any personal info.

Those cards are sold at Walmart and a lot of gas stations, most of which are open 24/7.

Anyway, some banks also sell reload able Visa gift cards with monthly fees that you can get without being tied to a actual bank account.

If your purchase can't wait til business hours tomorrow and you don't want to use the gift cards available at 24/7 stores I doubt you have many other options. Any other forms of payment will require being linked to an existing credit card or bank account.
