Cheap games to pick up from Steam?

So my WoW sub expires in a few days. Don't plan on renewing it or going back to it.

Was looking to try some of the games I've not played or skipped.

Would the community be kind to recommend or suggest some cheap and immersive games that I can pick up on Steam.

I don't really mind any genre and am pretty open to any besides any Asian themed games or Asian MMOs/RPGs, developers' games or anything Asian.

Steam summer sale is coming up where most stuff will be off 50-70%, so if you want to save a fair bit of money, wait for that.

    Otherwise:
    -Bastion
    -Botanicula
    -The walking dead
    -Spec Ops the Line

Do you know the starting date for the summer sale?

Sword of the stars: the pit

This game is so agonizyngly awesome !!! While its typical "loosing is fun" game, it gave me more fun than any game for a long time. Discovering new ways to die, getting trolled, crushed, starved, poisoned, cut by laser and so much more. Also perma death

Past experience suggests between 1 and 3 weeks from now - but no guarantees or official confirmation, I think.

I'll support these too as well. Very good games. Spec Ops the Line may not seem very interesting at first, but after an hour or two you'll start to notice how it just sucks you in.

    And I'll these games:
    Beyond Good & Evil
    Overlord

Don't buy anything now - well, one thing to keep you going maybe. A massive amount of the catalogue will be on sale within the next month or so

Terraria if you haven't played it yet ... it's often for sale for 2,49€
Warlock: Masters of Arcane is currently at 5€, it's like civilization with magic! Spent a lot of time with that game.

or just browser here : http://store.steampowered.com/browse/under5
lists all the games under 5€

Sanctum 2 is pretty good, and cheap, a lot of replay value also.

Can't go wrong with Borderlands. It's not steam selling it but its a steam code you receive.

Magicka :- Immensely fun, especially coop.

Binding of Isaac. Will have you pulling your hair out but a good bit of fun.

Don't Starve Kinda like a 2D Minecraft in survival mode.

Thsoe are ones I've found myself enjoying a lot recently. Alongside FF7 (but that's not on steam).

I support all of the recommendations above.

    Here's two more:
    The Binding of Isaac
    Super Meat Boy
Both are great games and provide a ridiculous amount of game time for their price tags.

The portal games are always a fun go-to time waster.

Have to admit, it's not nearly as fun single player as it is coop but it's still a decent playthrough. Though playing coop will increase the fun factor by 10000000000000000000000000000000%

Why buy it when it's online?
