You could probably fit India or Germany in there.
But I cant say its gonna get better - as long as China and Russia is on one side and France, UK and US is on the other not much will get done.

    Germany, Canada, Australia..

But then again, Russia is there. It's not exactly a democratic country. Same with China.

Why do Canada or Australia merit seats?

Well the US is democratic for the most part at least. What I meant though was that they don't hold humans rights in high regard in some of these countries. Also how can Putin be president for the 3rd term already? Im not 100% sure about this but I remember reading from somewhere that they actually changed laws for him to make it possible. Sounds awfully lot like a dictator to me if its true.

What Im saying is those countries are a security risk themselves, why should they be in a council that upholds national security?

If you had to hold human rights in high regard I imagine France would feel pretty lonely

Come on bro. America may not be the nicest kid on the playground, but China is on a whole different level. And Russia isn't far behind.

ALSO HOLD ON ONE FUCKING SECOND.

France would be off the list just as fast as America would. Don't sit there and ignore all the sketchy shit they've done while trashing the US for the exact same things.

The CIA positioned its own US soldiers next to nuclear blasts to "see its effects". The only thing the French irradiated was fish - and escargot.

In recent times its the whole Gitmo thing. And secret prisons with torture all over the world.

'Cuz the US holds them in such high regards, with its giant, unprovoked wars of aggression and subsequent occupations, the spying on everyone (including their own people), the military bases everywhere, the constant murders of other nations' citizens on other nations' sovereign territories, through bombs, invasions, drones, or just killsquads under the cover of darkness, the downright sanctioning of torture, imprisoning people indefinitely without fair trial, promoting slave labour for profit through its criminal system, almost dark-age level ideas about homosexuality and abortion, etc.

Nevermind all the other crazy shit, like how plutocratic and nepotistic the ruling class is.
    "Quack, quack, Mr. Bond."

I was more referring to how France royally ****ed them up, violated their human rights and held rigged elections.

Where is the poll option for none of the above? What about for no, there should not be any more set places on the security council? What about the current UN is a joke and should be disbanded?
