Moscow teens decapitate homeless man, then play football with his head

I only thought this was particularly interesting because they only face 15 years for murder. This wasn't just a "normal" murder. These guys were more depraved than usual.

Two Russian teenagers were arrested this week for allegedly decapitating a homeless man, according to the Moscow Investigative Committee.

The tabloid Komsomolskaya Pravda reported that the two suspects were in an alcohol-induced state when they allegedly attacked the homeless man with knives. One of the teens purportedly cut the man’s head off and scalped him.

Afterwards the two teens then played soccer with his head until it rolled into a trash can, they left it there and went home to sleep off their drunken stupor, according to the RIA Novosti newspaper report.

According to a report on the website of the Moscow Investigative Committee, a trail of blood lead them to the apartment of the suspects, where they found traces of blood, items of clothing in blood, and a saw and an ax believed to be the murder weapons. Investigators arrested two minors at the apartment.

According to the report three other teens may have been present but not involved with the killing.

The man’s identity has not been established because his head has not been found. The RIA Novosti reported “The search continues for the victim’s head, which was taken away by a garbage truck in the morning.”

The paper also stated that an Investigative Committee spokesman refuted allegations that the deceased head was used to play soccer, but confirmed that he was decapitated and that the investigation was ongoing.

The two suspects, who have not yet been charged, could face up to 15 years in prison if convicted of murder, investigators said.

i guess if he wasn't homeless the penalty would be far more severe, needless to say 15 years is too easy a penalty for decapitating someone and playing with their head.

I kind of think you just dramatize it a little to make these two look like cruel monsters from a fiction to get a view more clicks.

You can't get a prison sentence of more than 20 years for one charge in Russia. In USSR, there was death penalty above that, but that is removed now.
You can theoretically get life prison for a death penalty-worthy stuff, but the cases are few and far between.

Siberian camps were meant to have people dissapear (mostly mentally), in this case those rich kids have people invested in them. Money gets you places in Moscow, and you dont need much of it compared to the US.

If the discription of the murder was right, they deserve to be placed in a dog cage, naked and doused with water during a harsh russian winter. Let their family literally pick up the pieces, such evil is only bred.

I also doubt that it is untrue but we all know sensationalist stuff sells better. It isn't hard to imagine news corporations making something similar up just to get their £1 sale.
