Until ads go down to silent, non-animated banners on the side or bottom of a page i'll never stop using ad-blocking software. Popups, animated crap with loud noise and malware/trojan/virus galore will keep me having clean sites.

Makes more money? Probably. Has a better job? That depends highly on the person.
To someone to likes to study and work with animals a job streaming video games all day will not seem like a "better" job to them.
The better job is not always the one that makes the most money.
"Can a man still be brave if he's afraid?"
"That is the only time a man can be brave."
-Lord Eddard Stark
While I understand the "people need to make money off of the ads" angle that's really the risk they took upon themselves by relying on it.
I did not use AdBlock myself as I wouldn't mind simple ads, however it got to the point where youtube started making me pick between 7 or 8 minute unskipable ads while the actual videos sometimes were less than 1 minute in duration, at this point I decided to just install AdBlock and I don't plan to ever uninstall it.
Didn't we just have this thread? We already know 90% of this forum are scumbags.
Will never stop using adblock, because adds are intrusive, annoying, stupidly high volume and often auto playing. Spreading their blatant lies, that in addition wastes your time.
Cant bring myself to watch TV these days, because it feels like it's 90% commercials. Not only that, but TV series etc all have this incredibly annoying repeat mode on every 5 minutes.
"this is what happened 5 minutes ago, in case you forgot. Oh, and just in case. We will repeat it again shortly"
Had no idea AdBlock existed, or anything of the sort - thanks to the OP for letting me know there's software available to hide all that garbage! If I want to see ads, I'll do some market research of my own - I don't need a million popups a day slowing me down.
I've gone through pages of discussion in the last Adblock thread so I'm hoping not to get dragged into this again, but the problem is none of you Adblock advocates realize the cause and effect of your actions. Already Adblock is letting ads go through because Google is paying them. Already companies are finding methods to get past this Adblock. Ads are the only reason the Internet stays mostly free.
None of you have enough prescience or simple elementary forethought to add the factors here, which is the same thing going on with people who support being a dick at immigration officers. What you don't get is that ultimately, the power is not in your hands. Ultimately, when companies and websites will get so deprived of ad revenue because of all the selfish bastards using Adblock, they will decide to just either 1) start charging subs instead of offering their content for free or 2) block you completely.
These threads always make me lose hope in humanity because honestly, allowing ads does nothing to you. All of you like to spout Malware/virus bla bla/screaming flashing ads, but that shit is so uncommon you'd have to frequent hentai porn blogs to have it be a problem, which in actuality probably isn't so rare amongst this group. Allowing ads lets people keep their jobs, and again, does nothing to you. Ever heard of a fucking virus protection program? Everyone seems to be a computer expert when it comes to Adblock but forgets simple virus protection.
Maybe you would get less hate if you titled this "Adblock - Why I Think It's Wrong" rather than "Adblock - Why It's Wrong"
Remember guys, don't fast forward through those commercials.
Fuck streamers. Get a job.
Also, malware.
People don't want Malware and any form of that. People don't like ads. You have no other argument but "I think you are a thief. You are a horrible human being for depriving a community that mostly mooches off of people and earns more than people that actually have a job of its well-earned money! If you don't agree, you are a childish scumbag."? (Streamers)
Pot calling the kettle black indeed.
Are you serious? Fuck those companies. The fact they're obnoxious enough to blast my face with ads (or try to, thanks Adblock!) when I'm trying to do something with my free time of my own desire is enough reason for me to not care what they make. And I really don't give a fuck about some asian grindfest MMO dev company or shampoo distributors. I have to see ads when I go out in public, online, in movies, on TV, on the radio. When is it going to be enough?? Everywhere I go it's advertisements, signs, billboards. ENOUGH!
Let's stop being ignorant for a moment and stop forgetting that the entire Internet is made by people working full-time, most of which is paid by ads.Because streamers are the only folk who rely on ads, right? Lets ignore the full staffs employed by giant websites who work full-time jobs providing daily content.
