Do you preferlarger parties, or smaller shindigs?

Larger parties as in tons of people, you might be there with a dozen of your friends or so. It's loud, chaotic, but you're meeting a lot of new people and making new friends.

Smaller parties as in just you and several to a dozen of your good friends in a small, quiet environment.

    Which do you prefer?

Small parties. No special reason, just don't like chaos.

    Definitely smaller parties.

Small parties if I know the people attending, big parties if I don't.

Big parties. I can slip into the crowd easier that way, in case I want to just be "alone" for a while. A quick escape is more important for me than only having a few people.

Small parties of 5-8 people are ideal to me
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
    Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Third choice I guess... not entirely "antisocial" just lesser social and not really a party type.

depends if its my place or not. having a party is a good way to fuck your place up

Small. I just feel out of place in large parties, since I don't know most people there, I don't care about getting to know them, and even if there is a chance I'd meet interesting people at large parties, most likely I won't

I like hanging out with 2-4 other people, no more than that usually.

I also don't like getting hammered/wasted/fucked up either. I enjoy a few drinks but I can't stand the whole "LETS GET FUCKED UP!@!!!@!!@@!!!!!" thing. It's pointless. If you can't have fun without being a dumbass I feel for for you.

I'm a bit of an introvert, I generally don't really enjoy meeting new people all that much. The weekend before last I hosted a party with ~10 people and that was pretty good though. I wouldn't have had a problem with it being more like 20, aside from the additional expensive of buying more meat and beer.

Depends. Like when I already had a large circle of Friends in CA, I usually preferred the smaller parties. Now, knowing fewer people in Houston, I like big parties because I have more chances to meet new people.
'Twas a cutlass swipe or an ounce of lead
Or a yawing hole in a battered head
And the scuppers clogged with rotting red
And there they lay I damn me eyes
    All lookouts clapped on Paradise
All souls bound just contrarywise, yo ho ho and a bottle of rum!

Smaller ones. I don't like it too much when there's too many people I don't know, smaller parties tends to be with friends.

I don't mind either really, but I'd say I prefer a smaller get together.
