What's up with the servers today?

So yeah wow is unplayable today...at least for me.(Illidan US)

Character 1: D/ced flying from orgrimmar to winterspring -> stuck forever in login screen.
Character 2: D/ced during a Eots loading screen but I managed to log in again after 30 mins just to d/c again after leaving a battleground -> stuck forever in login screen.
Character 3: D/ced flying from tanaris to silithus-> stuck forever in login screen.

Hey all!

We've had a sudden influx of "Character not found" and other connection related issues this morning. Our network team is investigating, but unfortunately we've found no obvious reasons for the problem as of yet
