Let's start with Illidan Stormrage at the Black Temple where we killed him, and possible changes and opportunities.
After Illidan's defeat at the Black Temple:
a) He survived barely, now weak and hidden away.
b) He died, and stays dead.
c) He died, but becomes resurrected.
Let us imagine a little further forward as possible:
a) He survived barly, now weak and hidden away. Time flies, Illidan getting stronger with each passing day.
b) He died, and stays dead. But you experience the past with him before he died, as one of his followers he took from Azeroth.
c) He died, but becomes resurrected. By Sylvanas, Wrathion, or by whatever is left of his forces, or by some unknown force, or god.
But all these possible changes gives us many questions as well, such as:
1. With the change that a) and c) brings, what state of mind and emotions will Illidan Stormrage now have?
2. With the change that b) brings, his fate is known, but what will you experience with him and what will your future be after his death?
Possible answers to 1. and 2:
With a), he may be the same but stronger as he returns, or his near death experience changed him from his chatoic evil being to something else.
With c), he died, and then because of his resurrection - he lost his chaotic evil side, and has now become the one he was as a night elf, more clear minded.
Just a side note: He is still a half demon/night elf, but I'm talking about his state of mind and feelings.
With b), you follow Illidan to a time right before his death. Then you follow one Night Elf\Blood Elf leader in Illidan's force, that was one of the first to folllow Illidan Stormrage from Azeroth. Now as Illidan is dead, they wish to return home to Alliance\Horde.
So what do you guys think?
