Warlocks use demons like the Sith use the Force. It's all for personal power. Demon Hunters use demons to get revenge on demons, a typical "fight fire with fire" attitude. Totally different lore, no glyph can change the lore.
Warlock Metamorphosis. An ability activated by building up Demonic Rage. Used to boost Warlock DPS. http://static.thestoppableforce.net/...amorphosis.jpg Also the Demon Hunting glyph is removed.
Demon Hunter Demonic Visage. A "stance"-like ability for tanking DHs. Reduces damage, and allows the use of various tank abilities. http://th08.deviantart.net/fs71/PRE/...y_Alkharia.jpg
Boom, the whole metamorphosis claim is broken.
FFXIV - Maduin (Dynamis DC)
Because, new stuff? Why add more levels, leveling takes long enough... why add more zones, there are enough in the game... A new class is new content.

How does that look anything like it... the wings are just the Meta wings.
This thread again.
Steve Irwin died the same way he lived. With animals in his heart.
They're both wings. That's all they have in common. They have a different color and they're differently shaped. The Demon Hunter grows wings because he's becoming a demon over time. And Metamorphosis has wings because Metamorphosis is literally the transformation into a demon form. I think originally in WC3 it was just the Nathrezim model and Nathrezim had wings because they... well... are demons.
You realize you're using art created to show that Shamans and Hunters are now Mail users. People are saying that Demon Hunters can't wear mail because there is no art to back it up. Well that's the same case here, the art you are showing me right now would not exist if Shamans and Hunters were not Mail users. All previous examples of Shamans and Hunters don't show them wearing 'Mail' type armor.
If Demon Hunters wore mail, you would start seeing art of Demon Hunters wearing that type of armor.

That would make sense if we were talking about npc warlocks. Playable warlocks are aligned with the Alliance and the Horde, and therefore aligned against the Burning Legion. They fight fire with fire too. And as playable characters they are all soldiers of their respective factions, which means that personal power is directed to increasing the power of the entire force.
Speaking of which, all player characters pursue personal power, regardless of class. It's the entire point of the game.
And demon hunters aren't out to "get revenge on demons." That's Diablo 3 demon hunters.
Demon Hunters are out to hunt demons. That's tautological man.
What is the difference between the two since they both use Fel magic? Warlocks channel it, Demon Hunters are imbued with it. Warlocks seek to control other demons. Demon Hunters seek to kill them. That's the big difference.
Demon Hunters have a large source of power sealed within themselves which they tap into, not from any external source. This is what allows them to use Fel magic without actually having to cast it. Immolation is literally that energy bursting into magical flames out of sheer will. The dynamic is that all of the Demon Hunter's magic is internal and comes from within. This difference is akin to saying 'Mages and Shamans both use elemental magic' but they source it differently, one from arcane conjuring the other through spirits. In this case, Fel magic is the same type of magic, but the methods they use are highly different. You could say that Warlocks conjure demonic magic, while Demon Hunters draw it from their own spirit.
"Revenge" is a distinct concept from "hunting." They're specialized for anti-demon combat. That doesn't automatically mean vengeance is the first thing on their minds. Case in point, 99% of the demon hunters in TBC were aligned, directly, with demons. Fought side-by-side with them. If they were motivated by revenge, specifically against demon-kind, this would have been an extremely unusual arrangement, an enemy-mine situation. But it was the single most common one. Illidan himself was taking orders from the Lord of the Burning Legion. Really hungry for revenge, that guy.
Illidan was a fallen demon hunter, and he was raising a crew of fallen demon hunters. The very few that weren't are, unsurprisingly, still hunting the legion.
Actually, Demon Hunters not wearing armor is part of their lore, not simply an omission by the art team.
http://www.wowwiki.com/Demon_hunterThough equipment obviously varies from demon hunter to demon hunter, one universal element of the order seems to be the blindfold. Used to conceal the remains of the demon hunters' mutilated eye sockets, the demon hunter blindfold is usually some dark but mundane-looking fabric. Blindfolds are occasionally neglected, perhaps to make the demon hunter appear more frightening and intimidating. A second common occurrence among demon hunters is the tendency for the males among their numbers to be stripped to the waist, which is just one display of the demon hunters' emphasis on the importance of agility and general rejection of heavier armor. Those female demon hunters that have surfaced have been similarly garbed, wearing only the bare minimum of clothing on their upper bodies, sometimes even nothing at all. Demon hunters further tend to wear what appears to be cloth or leather, rarely (if ever) donning plate and mail, favouring greater speed and agility on the battlefield.
Kinda agree with a lot that has been discussed here, but I do think that if the Demon Hunter actually becomes reality, it should be:
Melee dps
Melee tank
Ranged dps
Currently only hunters use ranged weapons and there needs to be more classes using them. I would dream of a just pure Ranger/Archer class, but that probably won't happen, but a ranged speck for Demon Hunter makes a lot of sense in my opinion.
Nobody has innate demon magic except for demons. Other races can be irradiated by exposure to it, but it's not a spiritual thing, it's a corruptive thing. I've gone over the wiki pages for demons, demon hunters and warlocks so many times that I really ought to be ashamed of it, and not once have I read anything like what you're saying here.
Considering adding a new class or race is a really big selling feature for Blizzard, they would be stupid not to include them in the next expansion. Also, it's great to add more and more variety in each expansion. I also doubt blizzard is having more difficulty balancing the classes now than during vanilla so it wouldn't be such a big deal to them.
"Yes, I'm one of those GW2 fan boys who quit WoW and never even played GW1."[/IMG]
Sorry to burst that bubble, but that is all Rpg uncanon. The only truly canon lore is from the wc3 description of them. Technically, blizz can make them wear whatever they feel like, while, at minimal, keeping a transmog set that look similar to that description, before completely going off base.
But, the wings, you posted... /twitches
would have been easier to post an image of full fury with horns out and then compared it.
Those wings, are afk wings. Simply there to let the priests qq that they cant afk in wings. That is honestly, the only thing good for them. *nods* But, you have to admit the fan made picture and that is completely different. DA form is ghostly visage of everything, and has no movement. Not to mention, wielding a staff... looks horrible.
