When Will the GOP Finally Start Investing In the USA?

How much more of this crap do we have to put up with? When the GOP loses the White House in 2016 to Clinton, will they spend another eight years shitting on America and the work we desperately need done?

I know the issue is complicated, but how hard is it to just get something done? Propose some alternative initiatives to help the US by creating jobs. It's their fucking jobs for god's sake.

(and I know the Dems are also to blame, but it's pretty clear the House is the group holding the rest of the government hostage)

When they lose again, the GOP will fracture into the Tea Party fanatics and what little rational conservative groups that remain.

Only then will there be hope for conservatism to accomplish something.

Clinton? I'll take that bet... she couldn't even beat a nobody freshman (maybe sophomore?) senator from Chicago... then again republicans are total crap so really the biggest threat will once again be her own party, that is if she decides to run. Personally after the bs in her last run I would say fuck this system and be done with it.

Yeah cause neither party has lost 3 elections in a row right? Totally time for something radical...

Radical is what the GOP jumped to in 2010 and look what it got them in 2012...

They lost to an average President at best. Now they have internal calls that they still aren't "conservative enough", and now you can see why Independents are scared off.

Well according to the latest Public Policy Polling polls, everyone has a fair shot against Clinton except Rand Paul. Rand Paul also happens to have a lead in the Republican Party.

So if you want Clinton, start campaigning for Rand Paul.

I really wouldn't mind the religious zealots splitting off from the republican party and leaving more room for those of us with more common sense and less "pray away our problems".

Your party would not exist then...

dems lost 3 in a row, yeah, but they also underwent some major overhauls. GOP is doubling down on the same shit that lost them 3 elections in a row. they have all but ditched the "fiscally responsible" tag and are going with fundamentalist ideals as a party line. yeah, some radical shit will be going down in the GOP in the near future

We have the meddling of two parties who are both historically on the right end of the spectrum. Until we stop electing people who are sociopaths, ignorant bible thumpers, and insurance salesmen, we will get the same shit.

The republicans are fucked because they still want to keep going farther right, (and hopefully I am wrong) that they will soon become the golden dawn party of the US, I mean hell, they have the identical stance on immigration as the far right Greek party has.

Democrats just need to start electing people that see the urgency in re-building a country that is almost 50 years overdue for a infrastructure overhaul.

Meh hes not average imo. I like everything this president has said except for the "trayvon could have been me" bullshit. But hes blinded by race so I'll let that go if he doesn't choose to repeat it.

Oh what is their stance on immigration again? I must have missed it.

The bill the Senate passed is public record if you'd like to read it.

couldnt agree more. i wish infrastructure maintenance was more politically "splashy". it's easier to fund a new bridge than repair an old one, and while everyone knows it need to be done they dont want it to happen in their term

When Will the GOP Finally Start Investing In the USA? TBH I'm not sure what that even means. Are we referring to government jobs in construction? Investments in Green Energy?

I actually think the biggest influx in jobs and money would come from our own energy resources, but I believe the dems are much more hesitant about that than Republicans.

Every four years I listen to what both sides have to say, and the Republicans get crazier and crazier. It's an odd thing to watch, since before they where nominated I had no major objects to Romney or McCain, but once nominated they started to pander to the far right and just went off the rails. I end up not so much voting for the Democrats but against the Republicans. With the Dem's I am often worried that they wont do what they say they will, with the Republicans I'm worried that they will.
It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion. It is by the beans of Java that thoughts acquire speed, the hands acquire shakes, the shakes become a warning.

In many cases the bridge designs themselves are out of date, and thus a new bridge is more prudent anyway.

The collapse in Washington is a direct example of this.

    Registered Independent.

Will never vote for the bigots in the GOP. I care too much about the people in my community, especially the women.
There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there always has been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that “my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge." - Isaac Asimov

maybe, but that doesnt address the fact that infrastructure maintenance spending has all the political appeal of socks for christmas

It has appeal for one party. Maybe that's why their President is calling time and time again for investment in infrastructure.

Funny really, considering Rand Paul is one of the few Republicans I perceive to have some sanity left.

Which is funny, because I have him on the sanity scale next to Palin and Bachmann.

Even Paul Ryan is more sane, just misguided.
