Steak and kidney, and steak and ale pie are mouth watering to me.

But does the U.S seriously not have a market of savory pies like the U.K? I can't imagine that!

We've got so many pies and stews it's insane.

(P.S - kidney is fantastic to eat, don't understand the hate You should try liver and onions with gravy instead, THAT is fantastic)

Realistically the closest widespread thing we have is something like this:

That said, the US is huge and it wouldn't shock me if there were specialty places in a lot of the big cities that serve them that I don't know about. However, I have doubts (and have never seen) them in a heated rack in a quick store or anything like that.

We have a few British style pubs in LA, all of them serve food. Some even do meat pies.

We dont really have pies like that in Finland either but... if it has meat in it it's bound to be tasty!

And as far as kidney goes... not the tastiest kind of meat but still quite good (and rather nutritious, mind you!).
I used to hate it as a kid but now I like it... Especially my mums kidney-stew and mashed potatoes... delicious!
And as someone already said.. liver is pretty decent as well!

Maybe I'll try cooking some beef-bacon-egg-cheese pie or something myself!

Best british food I ever had was scotch eggs.

Mix it with a delicious old speckled hen

The only meat pies I have eaten are steak pot pie, turkey pot pie, and chicken pot pie. I think I like the chicken or turkey the best.

Sadly those are nothing like a glorious Meat Pie from Europe. Go and find a local British Pub, most US cities have at least one, Most of these Pubs will serve Meat Pies. Your mouth will thank you if you go and get one.

Never found a place that i would want a savory pie from but i am sure a cheese and bacon pie would be good. As for sweet pies anything with peanut butter and i am a go. I did see a savory pie from morocco i think it might of been on cnn of all places i saw the show it looked simple but darn good.

Steak and kidney, make them myself all the time but they are never quite as good as the ones you can get in a pub in england.

Yes they did to me too, but if you try them, its like a 'chicken pot pie' crust with essentially cheese/meat/onions inside, not a sweet pie crust like is the norm in the 'States.

Strawberry Rhubarb Pie is best pie, assuming Cheesecake isn't a pie.

You... you know that savory pies are pretty much from the UK and everywhere they held territory, right? And very very rare in 'America'? Good job just being utterly wrong about, well, everything.
