    Healing elixirs WA tracker

    Hey everyone,

    I'm having some trouble figuring out how I can use weakauras so it can track the ICD of healing elixirs on my monk, the way it works is it refreshes every 18 seconds afaik, regardless of if you have used it or not so it's possible to get the heal twice within seconds of each other if you can track this.

    Now there are some videos on how to do this on the internet that I had found and a thread on wow forums bout it on how to configure tellmewhen to do this, but the video is not working for me

    Now I figured weakauras should be able to do this as well, so if anyone could be of aid in this it would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks, Gnoe

    edit: found another thread
    http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/7762676415

    they show how to do it in tellmewhen there, if that is of any help... i'd really not want to download an additional addon for this only

    Trigger: Event
    Combat Log
    Spell
    Aura Removed (or applied?)
    Unit = player
    Spell name = Healing Elixirs
    Timed = 18s

    When I try this I don't get an icon just a WA "?" thing also I want it to always run, out of combat etc because otherwise it would lose track of the ICD every time I drop combat etc

    Just don't enable automatic icon, instead enter ability_monk_jasmineforcetea in the display icon window. Above settings doesn't stop running out of combat, so not sure what you mean.

    dunno it doesn't work, it doesn't show a timer at all :< it just appears when the buff gets applied and that's it

    If you're just using an icon, make sure you have "%p" in the text field in the Display options. If you want the clock-like countdown, select the "Cooldown" check box, also in Display options. If you have it as a progress bar, it should be working properly without any of that.

    Here's a video guide by Touchymcfeel (evn on MMO-C) on creating ICD WA's that you can also check out to see if you notice something you're missing:

    Edit: I just looked at Healing Elixers on Wowhead, as well, and I thought I'd mention to just make sure that you are actually gaining a buff called "Healing Elixers" in your buff bar. From the wording on the talent, it sounds like you should be, but the method Lissa posted and in the video won't work if it's not actually giving you a buff. If it isn't giving you a buff, you might need to work it with something like Combat Log -> Spell -> On Cast, or something like that, instead.

    It has global variables but they're pretty unique, I don't know of an easier way personally to do it. I included a progress bar and an icon, use whichever one you want

    The aura will only start after the buff is applied the very first time (so if you already have it you would need to wait till it re-applied to start tracking). If you /reload then the same thing applies again as the variables are lost and only created once the aura is applied.
