    Computer upgrade ~1000$

Hi ! Long time lurker looking to get some advice to upgrade my computer !

I'm playing with 2 screens, both 1920x1080 22''. Mainly playing games like WoW, diablo 3, planetside 2 but I'm also doing alot of 3D with solidworks and autocad. I'm from canada for price and item availability.

    Here is my current spec

    CPU: i5-3570k
    CPU Cooler: None
    Motherboard: Asus p8z77-M
    Memory: 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 corsair vengeance
Storage: corsair force 3 SSD 120GB
    Storage: M4-CT128 SSD 128GB
    Video Card: Radeon 6870
    Case: Old one (Need one)
    Power Supply: thermaltake tr2-600w
Optical Drive: Old one ( I can still use it tho)
    Operating System: Got one
    Monitor: Already got them

I dont need keyboard, mice etc.. only the tower.

I was looking to add a 1TB HDD to have more free space for my modelisation and games. I'd like to be able to fraps my game and maybe stream them, nothing professionnal but I dont want to lag ingame while I'm doing it :)

    Thanks you !

    Im confused.
Is this your current spec or is this the parts you picked out for your new build?

Off topic: How do you play shooters with 2 screens, aren't the cross hairs where the monitors meet in the middle?

This is my current spec, as for shooter, I use only one, I disable the second one.

You can change the 770 to a 760 also to save some money.

The reason i added a CPU cooler is because you really want to OC that CPU if you have it..I put a water cooler there since you said you have Corsair Vengeance, and from personal experience -You can not fit- any decent air cooler with those god damn RAM's, and since you have 4, and not 2 DIMM, you wont have the luxury of moving the RAM around, but the Corsair water cooling is perfect.

And something more extreme in case you just want the best possible upgrades, but its mostly a waste of money really:

CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i 77.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($109.99 @ Newegg)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 780 3GB Video Card ($673.98 @ Newegg)
Case: Corsair 500R Black ATX Mid Tower Case ($119.99 @ Newegg)

Depending what you wanna spend, you can choose..Overall i would recommend the first one, followed by the 760 build to save yourself some money, the last one i posted only in case you wanted the best choices for your system certainly and OC that CPU asap.

I added the Corsair 500R in all choices simply because its made to go with the water coolers from the same company and its a great little case, too bad that its back to its normal price, last 2 months it seemed to have been 50% off!
