Yep, I think they are targeting 27th of August for 5.4

Yep, August the 27th is likely.
However, based on history with the past major patches, things have happened that have caused some patches to be delayed. Lets hope this isn't the case with 5.4, unless they do manage to uncover, say, a major bug that cannot be hotfixed.

Either the 27th or September 3rd is when 5.4 will drop since they're needing it to launch S14. I'm actually banking on 5.4 hitting September 3rd since you can't do arenas/rbgs during the week from the 27th to the 3rd.

2013-08-13, 04:14 PM #7Patches typically drop on the same day that arena/PvP seasons end, the first week of the new patch is for determining end-of-season rewards.

Patches almost almost hit the same day as the arena season ends, just because then there is a 1 week off season in the new patch that let everyone catch up and buy the new honor gear and shit.
