High-Class items - Do you enjoy them?

What is your snobby pleasure? Cognac? Whiskey? Bourbon? High Quality Absinthe? Truffles? Cigars?

Mine is food. I can't go past the best organic meats available.
This is my signature. It states my prediction of the next expansion. Not only is it correct in my eyes, but should also be in yours too.

Expensive cheese, short bread, wine, as well as oil. I've been using $40 a litre oil for cooking and body uses recently.

Given the financial situation I've been in since birth, I haven't had many opportunities to test them, so I can't really say.

    Beer.

Although not all "good" beer is expensive. Amazing beer certainly isn't as expensive as amazing wine either (we're talking $10 tops for a good large bottle of imperial ale). And I don't snob over how superior any particular country's beer is compared to another's. Beer is good for its taste, not where it's made (I'm looking at you German beer fanatics).

Food and clothes, by far. There's nothing quite like splurging on an expensive shirt...

Electronics is my guilty pleasure. Well, my expensive guilty pleasure. My Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, iPod Touch, and iPad Mini have set me back a bit for both the hardware and software. Not gonna even discuss my computer upgrades.

But I know I spend far less on electronics than others. A friend of mine has a $12,000 home theater, complete with theater seats. Explains why whenever I go over to visit, I'm the one paying for dinner and drinks...

This thread is going to end well... Nawt.

Consider no items as any different, I buy what I enjoy, regardless of the price. Classifying items like that is just for people who require instagram moments to enjoy the life.

An ice cold cider. Some ciders are utterly amazing. I'm not talking about the cheap tap stuff either.

Generally the quality of "high end" items isn't as far above other less expensive fare. The brand image is where most of your money goes.
You're getting exactly what you deserve.

Clearly you're not actually buying "High end" stuff then.

Sure, a lot of the labelled stuff in the supermarkets, or even more specialist shops is almost the same stuff, but there are some gems out there that you can find that are just phenomenal. There is a cider I've found in M&S, that I thought would be a basic cider with a higher mark up price because of the place I was buying it, but I was wrong.

It is the nicest Cider I've ever tasted in my life, and one of the best tastes I've ever experienced.

You might want to clarify a little. To probably most Americans, like myself, "cider" is apple cider, a non-alcoholic apple juice mostly served to children, usually in the fall around Halloween. Granted it only took me about 3 seconds to find out that you were referring to an alcoholic beverage, but most posters here won't take the time to Google it. And to be honest, at 37 years old, this is the first time I've ever heard of an "adult" cider.

Yes, Id love to have high-class items, but as any average person on this forum, money...

I hope one day to be able to afford a pretty high-class bike since I kinda like cycling, but its a material sport as hell. Maybe not Carbon or anything like that price range trough, but up there.

Else I want to upgrade my OK high-end PC (well when I bought it it was pretty good 2 years ago almost ^^) inn some years...

    ..Money!

Edit: Oh and because my City depends on it: Electronics made by B & O - High class danish design, but exspensive as hell, but fuck its great...Not just looks.

I recently splurged on a damn good PC that I built myself. Other than that, I'm not really one for buying luxury 'high class' items.

shoes and aftershave mainly. I wear mainly gildan/fruit of the loom band shirts, but I like a Clarks original desert boot or Grenson brogues. I have a scruffy beard and hair but wear Tom Ford Italian Cypress.
