    Queen Gauntlet Entrance Ticket?

Hi all, I just picked up the game less than a week ago... i've obtained a ton of these tickets and I don't know what to do with them? Is there any benefit to leveling characters with it? I am so tempted to destroy it for bag space lol I have no room.

    I'd hang on to them.

In the last Living Story event, monsters dropped tokens that you used to vote on one of two candidates getting voted into power. During the event they had no value and I'd gained at least over 500 if not more of them. When that event content went away, all those tokens suddenly had an in-game gold value. Before this change though, I went and deleted them, effectivly destroying 3 gold or more.

For any more events that ANet deem to create, I am hoarding any and all items that the event creates just in case that suddenly they are given some kind of value.

...but... the tickets are soulbound. I'm sure they aren't even useful and you can just destroy them in a week or two.

And? Voting tokens didn't have an in-game value untill after they became useless. Once the gauntlet ends and those entrance tickets still don't have a vendor price, i'll toss them.

But i'm not going to start tossing out entrance tickets and then be told in a weeks time they now vendor for 1 silver each and i've just goned and destroyed 200 or more.

Yes, right, I would wait some time, too. Like I still have 16 Fortune Scraps in my inventory with no idea what to do with them aside from waiting one year for the Zephyr Sanctum to return.

You can exchange fortune scraps. Just talk to Black Lion Weapon Specialist next to Black Lion Guys (where you pick up items/gold) in any capital city (Grove, Hoelbrak etc.)

I don't think kite frotunes are still in gem store but you can exchange 10 for supply box that might contain kite fortune that has a chance to drop golden fortune scrap.

You can still buy satchels with them at the Black Lions Trading Company in Lions Arch (upstairs).

Because fortune scraps are still used as a currency for items you can still get in the game.

Support tokens didn't have any purpose after the voting as done.

I know this was said before Tuesday, but just so people know they are account bound now.

No one actually answered OP's question. The Tickets allow you to enter the Gauntlet event where you go through 2 tiers soloing bosses. At 4 bosses per tier it's 12 bosses overall, increasing in difficulty. The Gauntlet is in Divinity's Reach in the Queen's Pavillion and you have to queue for it. People will see you and cheer for you when you fight. It's similar to that fight club mode introduced in MoP if you've played that.

The issue though is that the Gauntlet is a recurring event and it's gone now. So you can just hold on your tickets and use them when the Gauntlet opens next (maybe next year, maybe sooner, no body knows). I say put them in the bank and forget about them. Also do you play in EU or US? How much gold do you have? It's a good idea to buy or craft some bags early on as they will really make your life easier.

It is NOT gone, still very much in game. You need to complete the dungeon to get access. You don't need to get the achievements to get access to the dungeon, just party with someone who has.

^ Yes you're right, I completely forgot that it was still inside the Pavillion if you completed the Playhouse. Still, I doubt he can make it to 80 and gear up for it before it is actually gone early September.

They are used for the Gauntlet event in the Living Story event. I think it is for max level character, so unless you will get there in 2 weeks then you can throw them away I'd guess. However it is only one slot in your bag so it can't take that much place compared to every other junk you have :P

The gauntlet scales you up to level 80. So you can go at any level.

Bags are pretty cheap on the TP, so throwing a gold towards some 10-12 slot bags wouldn't harm you. Just know that there's a few types of bags (invisible, craftsman, junk) so don't get a type you don't want. (No difference between leather/cloth/metal, though, afaik.)
