    New Rig....Finally.

    Computer Parts.

Was thinking about using this mobo or this one instead.

Currently that build is right around $1500, I have changed the case and removed the Hard Drive(the internal one) and Optical Drive.

I have also changed my processor to a 4670k instead and dropped my ram to 8gb. A part of me still wants 16gb of ram!

I would like to play most/all games at max, specifically MMO's(Final Fantasy/Guild Wars 2, etc).

    I am in the USA.

This is all I need, I have everything else. Basically, I am pretty dead set on these parts.

    Thanks all!

Make sure that RAM isn't too tall to fit with that cooler.

He should be fine with those.

That's probably the closest it'll come to it.

    1) The two boards you are 'considering' are incompatible Z77 boards. You need Z87, like in the original build.
    2) Dropping to the i5 and 8gb ram is a good choice. You'll save money and both the i7 and 16gb ram provide no benefit.
    3) Drop the Samsung 840 Pro, for an 840 or 840 EVO
    4) Drop the WD Black for a WD Blue (Specifically, the EZEX model)
    5) Drop the PSU to something... cheaper? $90 is a great deal, but you could get one for $60-75 that is just as good.

Do you have any suggestions for boards? Will the one I have listed in the original build work?

    How about this PSU?

The one you picked is a good one, however too pricey for -my- taste. If you can afford it, roll it. The Z87-A is usually the 'go to' these days for quality/cost balance

Noooooo. I'd recommend the one you had before, before recommending Raidmax. A good overpriced PSU is better than a bad cheap one. I'll look up some in just a few minutes, but Antec, XFX, Seasonic, FSP, or PC Power and Cooling are good.

Something like this or this maybe?
If you must insist on using a non-sanctioned sitting apparatus, please consider the tensile strength
of the materials present in the object in question in comparison to your own mass volumetric density.

In other words, stop breaking shit with your fat ass.

Sorry I didn't get back earlier, a bit of a crazy night for me. Either of those would be good. At first I was hesitant to recommend a 520w PSU, however the system at full CPU/GPU load, will only ever hit about 400w (i.e. stress test/benchmark). Gaming will likely be around 300. So a 520w like the one listed above is perfectly fine. I keep forgetting how relatively little power nvidia cards pull >.<

I would drop the GPU down to a 2 GB model. The 4 GB is pretty much wasted due to the small membus. You shouldnt see any performance difference between the two, but you will save about 50 bucks.

Another option for the Samsung SSD is the Crucial M500.

Ohsnap, didn't notice it was the 4GB model. Unless your going to end up with a 3+ monitor setup, 2GB of vram will be plenty.

Also, you can snag 8GB of 2133mhz memory for $59(or you can find a blue-colored pair to match your case here for $61) if you buy it before tomorrow, so you might want to do that :P

If the OP is planning that, I would go for a 7970. It is cheaper and I think AMD has better drivers for 3+ screens

Alright, so this is how my current "cart" looks, looks pretty good to me. So I could play something like FF:XIV on max with this build? Will I need to consider overclocking at all? Or will stock speeds take care of this? Current total sits right around $1400, which is pretty good in my opinion.

NZXT M59 Classic Series ATX Mid Tower

    Intel Core i5-4670 3.4 GHZ

    Noctua 6 Dual Heatpipe NH-D14

    Asus Z87-PLUS

    G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series (2 x 4GB) DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000)

WD Blue 1 TB Desktop Hard Drive

    Samsung 840 (SSD) 250

    Gigabyte GTX 770 GDDR5-2GB

Any reason you are going for amazon only? You could get much better deals by ordering on the lowest priced vendors (pcpartpicker includes shipping in the cost as long as the site lists it), both on prices and on quality parts.

    - - - Updated - - -

For example, this has a much better quality PSU, an overclockable processor (the k at the end means it's unlocked, which is the one you'd want to buy) and an EVO SSD, which has build-in safe RAM caching that doubles its write and read speeds. All while costing 130$ less. (seems 160, but pcpartpicker got the deal wrong on the gpu and it's actually only 10$ off)

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

    CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($219.99 @ Newegg)
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D14 65.0 CFM CPU Cooler ($73.99 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: Asus Z87-A ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($135.99 @ NCIX US)
    Memory: Corsair Vengeance LP 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory ($49.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB 2.5" Solid State Disk ($176.99 @ NCIX US)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($59.98 @ Outlet PC)
Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 770 2GB Video Card ($359.10 @ SuperBiiz)
Case: NZXT Phantom 410 (White) ATX Mid Tower Case ($84.50 @ Amazon)
    Power Supply: SeaSonic M12II 750W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply ($59.99 @ Newegg)
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer ($16.98 @ Outlet PC)
    Total: $1237.50
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

Oh, you also don't need thermal paste, it comes with the noctua.

Well, get the i5-4670k, the Z87-A (unless you're after some specific feature on the PLUS, they both overclock basically the same anyways) and find the cheapest 520W+ PSU (700+ if planning to SLI) on Amazon that is in the recommended list of power supplies. Oh, also get 1600 RAM, over 1600 isn't noticeable but in benchmarks.

Yes it is. Except Crysis 3, but that's a hell of an unoptimized game.

What about a game like FF:XIV? I currently have tremendous issues with that game on my PC. I get constant fps lag, and I get these weird yellow boxes that flicker all over the place. I wanna make sure this PC is good to go before I order it and still can't play FF:XIV or GW2 or something on high or max.

Not tried that personally, but it's most definitely going to be fine.
