Question about Assassination WoL

Why do Anticipation stacks fade without showing a finisher being cast? Am I seeing it wrong or what, I'm trying to learn Rogue and it seemed that he was forever spamming CP generators without using a finisher but when I started showing Anticipation in the log it just confused me further.
