I would play this. It sounds infinitely (geddit?) more interesting than "hey here's some new undiscovered landmass with a new class I wont even bother to level up and some new characters I wont care about while my Dwarf King is forever neglected".

At least with something like this we'd get more existing character lore. It would be cool as heck to see what Anduin grows up to become.

    love it.

    love the crafting ideas
    love the alternate levelling ideas
love the "item that phases you into a different timezone" idea

actually would lap this expansion up if it existed... Sadly it's nothing more than a fun/speculation thread but +rep for the work put in.

I like your ideas, especially the Trial of the Timewalkers were you can level in spurts of 10 at a time.

I think heavy time-travel kills lore though. Multiple dimensions diminish the value of every event that occurs if you can just go back and redo it.

Agree. His ideas weren't bad, but I think I liked Rise of the Legion better.

I very much like when they stick to the things that they have already written in the past. I think it would take a Warcraft 4 to actually give us some truly well written lore again >.<

Sounds like a interesting idea, and it is Plausible. i remember Reading The Twilight of the Aspects book, were Thrall was Sent to a time were Arthas, Didnt become LK, and Did indeed marry Jania. it would be interesting to see these "Alternative Realities." But The leveling system while Interesting, I dont think blizz would do that, as it renders work like revamping old World in cata pointless. and Making a "Alternative" Zone, might prove difficult. I mean in the CoT instances like Strat, you had invisible walls, so it was only a small section of the zone.

to many infinite titles in other games atm

I'm with you. I'd much rather seem them refine their current stories rather than add new ones - granted I think Pandaria worked well, but I would love to see them start to tie up some loose ends instead of making new ones.

Warcraft 4 isn't coming and it doesn't suddenly make the writing super omg awesome.

Trial of the Timewalkers - a new way to advance characters from level 1 to 90. These trials are a series challenging scenarios that players can attempt at levels 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, and 85 that, when completed, instantly advance your character to the next rank (ie; complete the level 10 trial, advance instantly to level 20 with a full set of gear comparable to level 20 quest greens). These trials are not for the faint of heart, and require an understading of the class you are playing to proceed. The intention here is to make the leveling process easier for new players, making the expansion more accesible - however the challenge is great to ensure that players who level up this way do know how to play their class.
So when do you want my money?

Although I never believe these "leaks", I have to say that

would be amazing and I want to see that in WoW.

It'd be a lot better without the "mysterious" opening paragraph.

I think the 5.5 part would be believable but to release a new expansion the follows up from the MoP story ehhhhh.

For lore junkies they could always do stuff involving the past. Like having us travel to the Well of Eternity just before the Sundering and aid Tyrande, Malfurion, and Illidan in preventing the legion from entering Azeroth. This could be both a zone and a raid as well as open up opportunities to have interesting dialogue with Azshara when/if we fight her as a naga.

A major sticking point that I could see Blizz doing on something like this, is having Wrathion go, "Before we can defeat the Legion, we must first defeat their agents currently on Azeroth. In order to do that, we must understand how they came to be." While this might be cliche, it would certainly fit right in with a lot of their over-arching xpac themes (person corrupted by mass of evil).

Relative to the op's post though, most of it was good but the alternative leveling will never fly. Like someone said, Blizz wouldn't want to make all their effort in creating the content to go to waste once a new xpac comes out.

Doesn't seem like much of a followup from the MOP story except maybe in that the Timewalkers are coming in on patch 5.4

The op is Murozond, he is controlling and altering time line, he is trying to modify the course of time to replace Dark Below with this EXP

We have to stop him now.

If they were to do a xpac around the Infinite Dragonflight i would enjoy the ideas of having zones be alternate time lines/past or possible futures. But yeah with the time way changed Muruzond could return. Even if he is dead in that time he will still come to be as when he fought him he was from the future. So its clear to me at some point Nozdormu will have to become Muruzond in our present.

Nozdormu says: At last it has come to pass. The moment of my demise. The loop is closed. My future self will cause no more harm.
Nozdormu says: Still, in time, I will... fall to madness. And you, heroes... will vanquish me. The cycle will repeat. So it goes.

I love how people are reacting here - I may be misunderstanding it, but it seems from the OP that the point of this post is a 'what-if' and isn't mean to be taken as a 'leak'. I don't think the OP is trying to say that this is actually going to happen - it's just fan fiction.
