Lately my PC has been freezing when ever I try to play anything on Youtube. I'm finding I'm not alone in this but what I haven't found is a solution. I have tried chrome and Firefox, and I have this problem in both. Is anyone else having this problem, and does anyone know how to fix it?
Note: Java and Flash are both up to date.

I had a few issues with youtube atm, not the freezing. Getting a few errors when loading youtube videos, such as repair monkeys being shit. Feed them a banana and get on with it.

Did you check your graphics card's hardware/software?

Disable hardware acceleration for flash.

The video driver needed updating, I checked that after seeing your post, bushido. I hadn't checked for a while, so I did that, but it didn't help the problem (but I should keep it up to date, regardless, let it slip my mind).
