Says, "Long Live General Kim Jong-un, the Shining Sun!" as per the story.

Btw, I think it's hilarious you were poking around google maps but had issues typing giant letters in north korea into google.
Almost as hilarious as giving a wrong answer. The text doesn't match.

My theory is that it is similar to that saying about infinite time and monkeys writing Shakespeare on typewriters. Except in this case it is eating grass and not monkeys.

If you don't know the answer, then that means you can't read it.
If you can't read it, how can you tell the text doesn't match?

Also, the monkey-hypothesis has been disproved. Monkeys will not hit random keys, instead choosing the letter they like best, aesthetically. This results in page upon page of 'sssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss....'

This text says: "LOOK WHERE SOCIALISM TOOK US AND WHERE ARE THESE FREE MARKET/CAPITALIST SOUTHERN BIGOTS MWHWHAHAHAHAHA. ALL HAIL SOCIALISM"

By looking at it? The spacing is all off.

North Korea has no lights on at night, government blackouts.
On topic I have no Idea what that says.

I don't know the exact translation, but I recall a BBC Report (I think) talking about it, and it is some message like; "All hail our glorious leader; Kim Jung-un"

If I read it correctly it says *년들은 일심단결* *을 받들자!, which Google translates to:
"The single-minded unity of the party take upon retirement party!"

But I'm new to reading Hangul and it's entirely possible I've f*cked it up completely.

    Edit:

If it's 청년들은 일심단결 *을 받들자!, that translates to "Young people who take upon the party-minded unity!" – which makes more sense as a propaganda slogan.

Cheers for the translation. I was just curious to what it said

The spacing doesn't matter; words can have more inclusive meanings in different language groups. North Korea doesn't share our Indo-Germanic language group, and therefore, one word in Korean could mean half a sentence in English. Just like 'Bullshit' in English could translate to 'Semi-solid waste excreted by the male cattle bovine' in Korean.

It says "Stop spying on us you socialist pigs!"

I know this but to say that sentence was the same as the one in the news story is wrong because the spacing is completely differnt.

Not really...a few hundred meters, seems huge on the map if you zoom out it's not even seen, also satellites can see very very well and pick up things as small as cars.

Google translate gives: "Young people who take upon (themselves) receiving [to receive] the single-minded unity"

I guess the "single-minded unity" refers to a unity of North and South Korea.

Edit: 청년들은 일심단결* 받을 받들자 is what I typed in.

Clearly it says "For Good Korean BBQ - Call Sing Ling BBQ!"
    "You six-piece Chicken McNobody."
