Currently, without adblock, i consider "The intranetz" to be utterly unusable.

So much spam of vile ads exists, i am literally forced into using adblock - because surfing the web for even 2 minutes without adblock is ABSOLUTE TORMENT.

Adblock for me is like a bulletproof vest for a soldier - i don't like having to use it, but without one i am just dead xD

I will continue using adblock for as long as it is needed, since without it the internet is just 99% garbage ads and 1% content you are after.

    Addition:
Download something called Adblock Edge, it is a version of Adblock that does not allow any "white-listed" adds to appear.

When I want to listen to songs, I don't want to have to watch an irrelevant ad just to hear a single song. Heck, sometimes those ads are just very long. I have never had an ad sway me. I pay enough money monthly for my internet. I don't want my time wasted on ad's on top of that.

Using adblock is theft. I do not endorse theft -- buy you may do?

Is covering your eyes & ears also theft when watching advertisements?

There is an extension for youtube at google chrome's extension download place called "Addblock for youtube" so if you use google chrome as your browser, you can block youtube adds. I have not seen one since I found that

Here is the link if you're too lazy to google.

Yes, so is not looking at highway billboards and not reading every single pamphlet handed to you.

In fact, I'd argue that advertisements are committing theft against me. They try to steal my attention.

It's websites like MMO-champion and Youtube that made me use Adblock, to be honest. The ads on those 2 websites in particular really drive me crazy, so I'll continue using Adblock as long as these obnoxious ads exist.

I get a black screen on twitch sometimes when the streamer forces an ad on us!

The thing about ads that I don't like is cookies. They use cookies to track you and direct ads to you instead of just putting ads relevant to the page you're visiting. That pisses me off. I should not have to pay with my privacy so that you can earn money running a website.

I'll happily pay for a premium service, though. I also had Curse Premium, but Curse client literally caused me a virus infection so that was pretty short lived.

If you want my money, stop filling my computer with shit. It's really that simple.

I wish I had found out about adblock during the period where I was using a complete shit desktop after my old one broke. One add would literally slow down my game. Besides that, why should I watch adds when none interest me in the slightest?

Ads steal my time, so I'd say tables are even, when I'm using Adblock to steal the time back.

As long as ads exist, AdBlock/ers will too.
I don't want/need ads, so I don't want to see them, not in real life or in the media.
If sites go under because they were relying on ads, then so be it.

And that's pretty much the bottom line.

Until website stop using SHITY ADD, I'll keep using addblock EVERYWHERE.

Fun fact actually : When I'm on MMOC on my iPad, the web browser close on every, single, page to open the appstore to make me download the "Lovoo" app. That's just unbelievable... A site as serious as MMOC can be using shitty spaming add that CLOSE your browser on EVERY page you visit... Insane imo.

And I don't care that MMOC is probably not directly responsible for this, but their add provider. I also don't care they loose money when they don't care about their source of income (customer wouldn't be right term. Website sell our visits. we are their products to their customers : add seller).

You want some respect ? Show some first.

I'm ok with ads if they aren't annoying. Here on MMO-C there are every now and then some ads that start playing some sound and there's no way to stop it. Also on other sites there are ads that will redirect you to other sites when they're loaded or you click on them to close. On computer sites where they have ads for Amazon or other shops where they only show some games or hardware that are on sale is ok but as long as there are ads that play sound or redirect I will use adblock. Also on youtube I don't like it if videos use ads before the video starts and have links in the video and ads at the bottom because it's too much. I have to wait until the ad at the start is finished, then the complete screen is cluttered with links to click and at some points in the video there will appear banners at the bottom with a little x and if you click on it, it will redirect you to some site with more ads which potentially will redirect you to another site and so on.

I don't mind advertisements in unused space on websites. However, I use adblock fully because of the assholes who automatically play video ads (especially on youtube) or bring up that popup that forces you to look at it and close it before you do anything. That's where I draw the line with advertisements.

I hate the fact that ads are forced on us. On all kinds of media. It's sickening.
If youtube begins charging, I'm sure there would be other sites taking its place.
