not bad, though ive never really liked the raptor model, just doesn't look like a raptor to me.
That looks incredibly awesome. Now if only I didn't dislike playing rogues...
Not a fan of the face. Otherwise, not bad.
Now, they just need to redo the mage's earth elementals (both) and the water elemental. Then I believe all the pets would have been updated.
they really should just implement the ability to train your own pets.
Why? What gameplay value would that be to a sub-job for the Rogue class?
He means, not everything has to have a productive purpose, some things should just be for the enjoyment.
I agree in this instance, I missed the WoW-hunteresque method of training your own pets up. It sorta makes you more attached to your pet if you choose it, a bit like the master-pet bond you would expect. Plus you'd be able to choose what pet, what skin color, size, etc.
I don't like the face on that raptor... looks odd
Hm. I don't think this makes sense. Wouldn't you enjoy something due to it's mechanical value in the game?
It seems a pointless/nonsensical desire in the case of Rift that does not have a singular class identity. Equipping a soul is only a means to an end in terms of mechanics. That one soul is called Beast Master or Ranger is immaterial.
One of the most memorable times I ever had in WoW was helping my g/f tame one of the rare spirit beasts. I ran across it while mining and yelled at her across the house to come get on to tame it as she had been looking for it for weeks. She was in a dungeon. Then an Ally Hunter came along so I had to kill him, knowing he would call friends I asked guild to come help. It turned into a knock down drag out fight for this dang beast. Was a lot of fun even though the Allies ended up killing the thing just to prevent us from getting it.
So yeah, something that adds no game play value created one of my most memorable experiences in a game.
Sound like someone who has never played a wow hunter.
"Uh, white tiger, come kitty kitty kitty come."
"Uh green core hound. who is a good boy? who is a good boy? yeah you are a good boy. go fetch dat gnom."
Having/getting/working for things just because they look awesome is nothing wrong, gotta catch em all!
Just one question Fencers, how many mounts you got? 1 am i right?
I played a Blood Elf Hunter in WoW. Having the pets was a core mechanic of the class, which was it's own singular design. Ranger is not a singular class in Rift, Rogue is your class. Ranger is a mechanical effect that can be added to the Rogue class.
There is a difference in design and intent. Even psychology.
