For anyone interested, Payday is free for today only:
http://store.steampowered.com/app/24240/
I know many were waiting for this day and it was originally Saturday, but they apparently moved it to Thursday (today)
Humble Vancouver Edition Bundle, lasts October 16 - October 23
Below The Average:
Shank
Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness, Episode One
Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness, Episode Two
The Baconing
Boximals Bounce (Early Access)
Above $6:
Shank 2
Plants vs. Zombies: Game of the Year Edition
Oooh. Will pick that up for the Penny Arcade games. I know they aren't the same style as 3 and 4 (which is a pity, old school rpg games are awesome), but should still be fun
Seems I have Shank 2 from somewhere too, not played it yet, but can't hurt to play through the first one. Also got PvZ

My (limited) input on this bundle:
Shank 1 and 2: I have both, but haven't played much at all. I can't really give an opinion, as it isn't my type of game.
Penny Arcade: The humor and classes were amusing, but again, I didn't get around to actually playing them. This would actually be something I would play though, and that's saying something. Of course, it's an RPG - my favorite genre.
The Baconing: The game was amusing for the first 2-3 hours, but I wouldn't actually go back and play again.
Boximals: Never heard of it.
PvZ: This is one of my 'go-to' games when I want some quick and relatively 'thoughtless' fun. I've put more than 50 hours in, and will put many more in, if I could actually play the damned game (Steam throws me a fatal error, and the Popcap / Steam support wasn't helpful).
"I was a normal baby for 30 seconds, then ninjas stole my mamma" - Deadpool
"so what do we do?" "well jack, you stand there and say 'gee rocket raccoon I'm so glad you brought that Unfeasibly large cannon with you..' and i go like this BRAKKA BRAKKA BRAKKA" - Rocket Raccoon

Tomorrow is the day : http://www.pcgamer.com/payday-the-he...ay-in-october/
And it's forever,. you just have to get it on that day.
Edit: wait what,. not tomorrow?
What gives?
Because popcap no longer exists, it's now owned by EA - aka. no support.

Yea, it was Thursday. They changed the date from Saturday to Thursday. Only found out because there was some articles on Tuesday.
Free as in if you start to Install (and can cancel if you want) you keep it forever. Plus it has cards with it.
Though there are a bunch of free games this weekend for 48 hours to play if you want

Well fuck me. I've tried the following:
- Verify the game's cache.
- Delete content and re-download.
- Hell, even reformatting didn't do anything.
I've talked to Steam's support, and what was once PopCap, I guess, and no answers. Great. A game I'd play a LOT, but can't. I guess...I'll have to...obtain another copy...since I've paid for it, and can't play it legitimately. *sigh*
Hmm, I'm kinda interested in that Nicole game. ...but that's the only game that even looks remotely interesting in it. Anyone want to trade me it or something? :P
You didn't say what the error was so I'll throw this link, might help.

It's been at least a year since I've tried to launch it, and I'm on a different computer right now, so I can't check, but here's what happens:
I'm able to launch the game, but once it starts it's initial loading (when it's ''laying out the grass'', if you're familiar withe game), it freezes and kicks me an error.
If, for some reason, someone wants to help me out, I'll edit this post tomorrow with the exact error.
I grabbed a free copy of xcom enemy unknown here: https://goldenjoysticks.greenmangaming.com/
The game is for free on iOS. As is PvZ 2.
and it's availble drm free on gog iirc.
you shouldnt need to buy a new one.

Meh, pirate it if needed. (not condoning stealing, he already owns it)
You own a licence, it should be much like Windows. Nobody cares if you downloaded it from a shady website, it's "the key" you paid for. Hell, nowadays they get away without even giving you discs and shit
I searched for both ''plants'', and ''zombie'', and it doesn't show up on GOG.com.
@Rixis, right, that's what I'm going to have to do. On top of the error that I was getting earlier, now I get:
''Failed to startup Steam: SteamStartup(0xe,0x0018E350) failed with error 108: The local Steam Service is not running"
At this point, it's just easier to pirate the damned thing than try and figure out how to get it to launch correctly.
You can play other games through Steam?
