    No.

You have a LGA 1155 cpu on a 1150 board. Not to mention a board designed for overclocking with a cpu you can't overclock.

Nope as mobo is 1150 where as cpu is 1155 socket

    Two questions then.

    1. Is this motherboard worth the price?
    2. What CPU that's i5+ would work with this mobo.

    If 1 is no, what's a good mobo/CPU.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1AsAM is the build I aimed at getting.

    You want the i5 4670.

Personally I'd recommend getting the 4670K with the MSI G45

Here's an equiv build that should get a little extra performance.

200 for both or 200 each

If it's each, then the 4670K, EVO, and a ~$130 board is your best bet. If you can stretch that a bit more, a nicer cooler would be good.

    Was hoping you'd reply.

Yes it's 200 per item (~400 total budget) I'd be willing to spend upwards of 500 total.

For the budget, I think this is a good combination of quality and value. You ought to be able to get your OC up to 4.2 with this, give or take. 4.4 will be hard, from what I've heard. I've seen people on a lesser cooler getting higher, and people on an H100 not able to break 4.1. I feel that it isn't useful to throw TOO much at the Haswells (cooler/board cost) because some of it is up to chip lottery. You can't control how good a CPU you get. You CAN control how much you spend.

    Alright, well thank you.

One more question though. PCPP Is saying my ram isn't compatible with the Mobo. Is that just an error or is it not compatible

That RAM is 1.5V, I'm not sure why PCPartPicker would flag an incompatibility.

Do you have a link for the specific thing, I think there are several versions of it (maybe the link you bought it from?)

It might be 1.65v. I'll have to check. I believe Haswell is technically compatible, but isn't fond of it.

It appears the Z87-G43 does not 'support' 1333 ram. I don't see why it wouldn't, but I'm looking into it. There are other boards. I'll post back shortly.

The Z87-K, while pretty standard and only on a 4phase VRM, has proved to be fine for ~4.2 to 4.4 overclocks and it comes with Asus FanXpert 2. That'd be my pick.
