Streets of Whiterun. Not sure how to post a vid but yeah. Skyrim ost.
Easily one of the most beautiful.
Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross have fantastic soundtracks. They're definitely tied for my favorite overall soundtracks.
Timeless (no pun intended) classic that still gives me goosebumps:
I knew shit was about to go down first time I heard this:
Edit: Even though it wasn't a very good game, like Mechazod linked, Mystic Quest had awesome music.

Another one. Its kinda crazy how much good music ppl miss that dont play games. Kujas theme is so dark and fit sooo well for an end boss.

Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross are obvious choices, but i haven't seen anyone mention this one yet, so...
OKAMI! tons of great music. I imported the OST because i loved the music so much, even though i can't read japanese.
crank up the volume, skip to 2:50, and listen til the big flourish at 3:45. gives me goosebumps how amazing it all sounds.
Chrono Trigger is my all time favorite as I have really fond memories of playing it growing up! I also love FFVIII's soundtrack, but most Final Fantasies have great music I think. Kingdom Hearts has some nice music too.
Just gonna leave this one here.
There's some really awesome Final Fantasy song covers by The Black Mages, here's a few favorites of mine.
Skip to 1:30 for the 'action'.
"In order to maintain a tolerant society, the society must be intolerant of intolerance." Paradox of tolerance
Well my favourite goes for planescape torment:
And fallout:
secret of mana
or
xenoblade chronicles.. its just epic.
Mine is this:
Warhammer 40k in a nutshell.
Even though I disliked the ending, many of the songs in ME3 were really emotional. Most of them sad, but I must give them credit regardless for being able to affect me emotionally.
"In order to maintain a tolerant society, the society must be intolerant of intolerance." Paradox of tolerance
My two favorites:
1. "Ellipse" - Broove (an unusual DnB track from a Flash-based game called Lint)
2. "Nightsong" - World of Warcraft Cataclysm (quite simply one of the most immersive and beautiful tracks I have ever heard).
And I adore these exotic tracks by Knut Avenstroup Haugen from Age of Conan, "The Savage Coast of Turan". It reminds me so much of my childhood watching with awe tales of Sinbad and his magical adventures on TV:
- there are longer and more tracks on Haugen's Soundcloud channel: http://soundcloud.com/knut-avenstroup-haugen
