    Heroic Protectors

    Hello

My guild is working on Heroic Protectors tonight, so I am looking for any hunter specific tips.

    What I am already doing:
-Using double deterence during He Softfoot desperate measures.
-Feigning Inferno Blast casts at the end of the cast.
-Focus interrupting Gloom (I think, the "conductive something" caster).

Is there anything more I can do, personally? I'm doing a little under 280-290k as SV, which seems appropriate.

    Hello there Snicker

    The guild I'm in have done this encounter on HC twice. What I consider hardest in the fight is Rook's Desperate Measure Phase. What we do is this;

Make a fixed stacking point for whoever has Inferno Strike on them. Just before Misery(?) finishes it's cast, I call out a player to interrupt Sha Sear on Sun Tenderheart as it has a 5 yards dmg radius on the affected target. Most of the time for us it lines up well with the Inferno Strike nearly being finishes as Sun Tenderheart starts casting either Calamity or Bane.

We started out trying an interrupt rotation on Gloom, but we just found it a lot easier just dodging his attack, it's visual on the ground is a small blur swirly graphic. He casts two balls out each time he does his cast.

Also if you have a mage, he can invis his Garrote off, most likely also Inferno Strike. An Iceblock does wonders for soaking the mob in He Softfoot's Desperate Measure phase. I do believe a paladin can BoP off Garrote aswell to ease the strain on your healers.

280k sounds decent enough, depending on how you do it. We make sure He Softfoot is tanked away from the others when he has Noxious Poisons on as to avoid puddles near Sun Tenderheart where we stack in her Desperate Measure phase.

    GL on it pal!

Sounds like you have it on lockdown, might wanna pick up Barrage as you're usually faced with multiple targets.

I'd use your deterrences on all Calamities if possible. Besides that... just don't stand in stuff and your good.

Personally I'd offer up the option to your guild to double soak the Mark of Anguish, unless of course they don't need it (25m or tons of healers able to do it, etc.). Also depending on your kill order, you may only really need to Deterrence the Calamity prior to the reset. I know in my guild, even between a bubble'ing Paladin and block'ed Druid, we were still stretched on soakers.

We have mage - hunter - hunter#2 - rogue - druid w/deterence as our rotation. We have two hunters.

Thanks for the tip about bubbling, hadn't thought of that.

BM with Beast Cleave worked the best for me over Surv (if you're guild stacks the 3 of them for most of the fight) and interrupting Corrupted Shock from Gloom / not standing in bad stuff / double deterrence Mark of Anguish for soaking is pretty much all you can do.
