First time editing CR2 (need help)

Hey all

I usually shoot and edit in max quality JPG. Now I started shooting in CR2 format. I took an image of the chain mine we visited as an example to try and see the CR2 editing capabilities but I'm not getting it to my liking...

Is there anyone on the board here that could edit the picture below (link for download) so that the sky is nicely blue ? (it's pretty white on the left). I don't think that tree on the right side can be saved (it drowns in the white) so I will probably content aware delete it Also think the shot needs some perspective work (the building is falling over)... but Im mostly interested in at least getting the sky fixed!
