Yes, I believe in government, and I'm happy to pay my share in taxes. I don't think government is perfect, but having spent time in places with weak governments, I'm happy to live in a place with good infrastructure and rule of law.

No, they aren't. Compare Finland, a socialist country with a strong capitalist sector, lots of wealth, high quality of life, etc. with Soviet Russia or Mao's China and you'll see the difference.
