What's easier - 2 tank shamans hc or malkorok hc?

We do not have a viable third tank this week, so we're facing a dillemma about what boss to progress on. We will probably have a third tank for shamans from the next week onwards.

Setup will be 10 out of these 11:

    Prot pala
    Prot warr
    Resto dru
    Resto sham
    Holy pala
    Arc mage
    Surv hunter
    Destro/afflic lock
    Assa rogue
    Shadow priest
    Boomkin

Note: Both mage and hunter have engi and can rocket boost + ginvis/deterrence for soaking orbs on malkorok.

I'd say Malkorok since the third tank on D. Shamans makes the fight SOOOOOOOOOO much easier.

If you're gonna have a 3rd tank soon anyway just do malkorok.

Get your priest to go disc, and kill shamans..

Go for Malkorok imo. Spending time progressing shamans with only 2 tanks is waste of time imo, when you get third tank next reset

    Shamans without a doubt.

Shamans becomes significantly easier with a third tank, you might as well go get some pulls on malkorok.

Get some pulls in on Malkorak to get people thinking about the fight and then go clear H Spoils.

go for malkorok, he will be much easier than shamans with 2 tanks.

2tank shamans > malkrok > 3 tank shamans in difficulty

Malkorok, just have your pally solo soak the rages and its a joke.

How would we exactly go about this? Something like:

Make sure no stacks of fatal strike are up when rage phase starts. Maintain maximum uptime on SotR. (this is assuming go with druid/pala healer setup)

    1st one:
    0s: Guardian of Ancient Kings (-50% 12s) + Avenging Wrath (hps/dps 20s) + Ironbark (-20% 12s)
    5s: Rook's Unlucky Talisman (-35% 15s)
    10s: Divine Protection (-20% 10s) + SymbBarkskin (-10% 10s) + Hand of Sac (-30% 10s)

    2nd one: (~2:45 after 1st one started)
    0s: Ardent Defender (-20% 10s) + Divine Protection (-20% 10s) + Ironbark (20% 12s)
    5s: Rook's Unlucky Talisman (-35% 15s)
    10s: SymbBarkskin (-10% 10s) + Hand of Sac (-30% 10s)
15s (or as soon as off cooldown): Guardian of Ancient Kings (-50% 12s)

I'd go with Malkorak too, Dark Shamans because incredibly difficult if you only have 2 tanks.

Holy avenger is a 2 minute cooldown (up for both) and gives you like 30+ seconds of SoTR uptime, which is basically a 50% physical reduction.

Not quite sure since our raid comp was alot different, (warrior tank/Pally tank and 3 healed with Disc/MW/Rdruid). But what you have said sounds decent, I would add smokebomb in that rotation though. Just for reference this was the rotation we used (remember we had a different comp) http://pastebin.com/WBJSyYVr

Any tank can solo soak it.

Right, but he has a choice between warrior and paladin so having the paladin do it is pretty much a no-brainer.

Also OP, remember your warrior has cooldowns he can give to the soak tank; Vigilance, Demo Banner, Rallying Cry.
Your shadow priest can also run in with dispersion for a 50% reduction if you don't need it for soaking the orbs.

One tip that made a huge difference for us, we underestimated our DPS so we planned out our cooldowns assuming we would get a second Bloodrage phase and kept losing the tank in the first. So we did one try saying "fuck it, blast everything on the 1st" and it turns out we had the DPS to avoid the second. Just test it out since it makes a huge difference if your DPS is strong enough.

Honestly the hardest part about Malkorok in the first couple weeks was the DPS check. As long as your ranged DPS learn to get in puddles and avoid ball deaths then it should be an easy kill.

We were wiping to enrage for a while before we got our kill and the following week we like 3 shot it with like 25 seconds left of enrage. Even 1 week of gear makes a huge difference.
