    BF4 or CoD:Ghosts?

hello, so my question is which one should i buy?

i've never actually played a first person shooter and because of a pre-order bonus i can either get BF4 or CoD:Ghosts for ps4. Some of you have more insight into the pros and cons of both games and wanted to know more about both of them.

please dont turn this into a bf vs cod thread, i just want to know what the difference in setting, story and gameplay is for example. i've read a bit but hearing it from actual gamers would help me more.

    please pardon my poor english.

    thank you

bf4 because cod ghost is just another cashgrab
the biggest difference is that you can control vehicles in battlefield (tanks, dirtbikes, trucks, jets, helicopters, etc)

Just watch some youtube videos or wait and see if there is a demo. Asking that question on here will not end well.

BF4 is Beastly, though i havent had much time to get into the meat of it but it looks fantastic and plays well.

Battlefield 4 is the best multiplayer FPS out there, the campaign is a bit dissapointing though.

I would honestly go with Call of Duty for a console, BF is kinda lame on console.

I've never been into FPS games myself, but Battlefield series feels to me more realistic, while Call of Duty series is more of arcade experience. As for setting and story, in BF you generally are a soldier, while in CoD you are a special op. So battles in BF are on a larger scale, often big battlefields with many dozens of soldiers, while in CoD it's mostly infiltration missions, several operatives sneaking into secret labs, submarines, small towns, etc. Played only single player in both series, so cannot say anything about multiplayer aspect.

As for which one is better... I enjoyed Battlefield 3 more than MW3, but BF2:BC felt horrible and poorly designed. Don't know about BF4/CoD:G though.

    Just get both

Look up some youtube videos and reviews if you want to see the difference. CoD is more like aim-shoot-hit-get-the-best-K/D whereas BF4 is more objective and vehicle based team FPS.

Tbh, out of the two this time around it seems CoD is the one with more internal changes compared to earliel edition of the game than BF.

They are completely different games. I personally enjoyed BF3 far more than any CoD title.

BF3's singleplayer was bad and CoD:MW3 was awesome but then again I couldn't finish CoD:BO2's singleplayer. I think the modern warfare titles had very good singleplayer modes but the titles Treyarch made (Black Ops) didn't but they compensate for it with Zombies mode which is quite awesome.
So if you are only into the singleplayer mode then the safer bet would probably be CoD:Ghosts.

For multiplayer I personally think BF4 will be much more fun. But they are both very different styles so it's pretty much personal preference. CoD is up close and fast paced infantry combat while BF4 has huge maps with tons of vehicles (tanks, yets, heli's, motorcycles, quads, boats, jetskies, etc.). I thought the infantry combat wasn't too bad in BF3 but CoD is obviously better in this department. BF also has a lot of destruction and is somewhat more realistic than CoD. You can do just so much more in BF than in CoD, parachuting out of an airplane for example or sniping from 800 meters away.
Just take a look at the trailers and you will see.

BF graphics are also much nicer to look at btw.

COD ghosts for me, BF3 was a real disappointment, it was a great game but real shitty connection issues for me, I used to spend 5 minutes just to find 1 game.

These sorts of threads aren't allowed here, since they normally tend to devolve into game vs. game arguments very quickly.
