I'm mostly nice to the tanks. Unless they decide not to communicate. When I yell "help agro!!" in the chat (and even running towards the tank) and he does nothing, I ask him why he didn't pick up the add/boss (yes I had agro from a boss once, protectors...). They sometimes don't even respond, not even when out of combat. So when that happens you have to excuse me for getting a little mad and yell at that tank... No trash talk though, I know tanks have feelings too.

I don't tank in lfr myself, last time was DS. It was also horrible back then. I don't mind if ppl tell me what I'm doing wrong, I do the same to others as it's important to learn from your mistakes. I just don't like the raging and abusive ppl.

What a miserable abuse of your role.

    True!

Still everytime that loud mouth DPS died who was abusing everyone on that one bad run I had I laughed a little. Made it better when he was telling certain people how shit they were and he died on Nazgrim after taking a shockwave + an assasin. He moaned at the healers. Had to say in raid chat that the guy was a muppet who could have avoided half his HP going missing if he dodged the easily avoidable shockwave.

Further abuse followed and we downed the boss. A shame was hoping we could wipe and kick him.

On the contrary, I teach people the importance of roles - the tank sets the tone, the rest follow.

If you can't accept that.. well, I guess you'll be sitting in the queue for an hour crying about how the game is unfair - oh wait Compstance, that's what you already do.

I do no such thing. You shouldn't make assumptions based on things you have 0% knowledge about.

And it's not your job to "teach" people anything. It's your job to stand there and hold a boss.

While he is horribly wrong on some aspects there is one thing he is kinda right on. Tanks usually get the "leader" role in LFR by default.

Now I can raid lead just fine and just happen to play a tank. I also try and do the same on my shaman but for me it doesnt feel the same. (as a tank I can at least initiate a pull and not get blamed for it!)

I wonder how many people use the DBM pull macro. Its such a good little thing as you press that and when the count down comes up you start running in and most of the raids aware of an inc boss pull.

Tea that system that requires multiple reports an actual rule breaking before punishment is so broken. Guess what? When you are failing, I am going to say so, and it isn't a bannable offense. There is nothing toxic about criticism, blatant insults are completely different.

I zoned into a LFR group on Garrosh and I hadn't ran it on my tank, although I said I ran it about 8 times as a healer and they still kicked me.

In my experience, which may very well deviate from statistics, the tank is often clad in pvp and timeless gear with no gems or enchats, and has limited experience. This creates a huge ragespam from the most vocal members of the raid, and the tank is often voted out. So from my own experience, we have both the problem with shitty tanks and the problem with keyboard warriors in a nice combination.
    Mother pus bucket!

I can't tell you the last time I saw a Tank "leading" LFR in any way, shape or form. It's almost always a DPS or Healer. The whole "tank is leader" thing is a myth, it's just whomever knows the fight and feels like advising others on the best way to do it.

Why didn't you prepare on Icyveins or at least dungeon journal? You come prepared to group content, simple as that.

Sometimes you just have to keep things under control, because there's always a couple of guys that just yell gogogogo, even though groups and roles haven't been sorted. When we wipe they call the raid members idiots. Especially bad is it when they get tired of waiting for people to get ready and they start the encounter.
I always try to get such jerks kicked out. It's simply much better to use a couple of minutes preparing, than to start without being ready and playing for 5 minutes, wipe, res and rebuff for a few minutes, and argu over who the idiot who failed was for a few minutes.

Indeed. Go practice the fight on Normal before you go do LFR.
Because that's totally the way it's supposed to be. Not the other way around.
    Baka.

He never said he hadn't prepared, he said he hadn't ran it on his tank before but had done it 8 times on his healer and they kicked him straight away.

But look at you like a bunch of rabid animals jumping on his back and ripping into him because you can't read what he said. You're the reason new tanks are afraid to tank.

If you are going to call him an idiot at least do it in english.

I'm not saying verbal abuse doesn't happen, I'm saying that it's not the primary reason for tanks waving adios to LFR. Even if people were nothing but cordial to each other, you'd still see a drop in participation. But that is my opinion, nothing more, and of course Blizz is going to be able to measure this in ways I cannot.
I would disagree. Instead I'd say the jump has been since loot specialisation was introduced. Why queue as a tank with all the crap it entails, when you can just queue as dps/heals and set your loot spec to tank?

I am on about the "leader" tag LFR gives out in game. (instance leader i think its called) What players decide is up to them!

I agree with the whole thing about being nicer to tanks, people should. But why only to tanks? Be nice to everyone, and we will all have a better experience.
