Well, I could write something like: "I don't watch porn anyway, so I don't care", but instead, I rather stick to "kinda dumb".
Actually you may even argue, with children won't have access to porn anymore (unelss the father pays for the internet and he opts in), there may be an increase in the game "show you mine if you show me yours"....
I think it's more likely that the internet will ban facebook and google, than porn. The internet is porn, with a few non-porn websites for interim-porn entertainment. The greatest communications innovations of the last like 30 years have been invented and driven by the delivery mechanisms of porn. Without porn, we'd fall into some sort of porn-less dark age. Porn invented the internet to transmit pictures electronically, porn invented DVDs, porn pushed the global fibre-optic network we all live off now, porn invented streaming video.
Whether you like porn or not, it's important to recognize that the desire to get laid is the most powerful force in the universe - and to try to stand against it is folly: not to mention regressive.
It would be hilarious if someone got a hold of the emails from the petition and put everyone on an opt in list. On a serious note the people signing up for it apparently don't know that it doesn't take very long to make a new website/forum and throw some porn on it. There is 0 chance that any ISP would want to throw away that much money to constantly find new porn sites to put on their opt in/out list. I would say it is the same internet concept as if you take down 1 torrent site 10 more go up in its place.
Not the biggest fan of how the industry works or how they portray sex...
But others enjoy it, quite a lot of people from what I hear, and I think they deserve that "freedom".

Unfortunately I wasn't inundated in porn, as promised, and hoped.
omgdz, pronz
Very pornographic...
As a 13 year old I remember sneaking a porn mag inside my 'match' magazine (a footy mag) and buying just the match magazine I could have sold each page of that porn mag for a quid at school (stealing is bad, don't do it.)
are they that uninformed to believe that opting out with your ISP will completely stop porn? Haha dumbest thing I've seen in awhile. Even with combined strength of your internet browser and your antivirus trying to protect you from seeing pornographic images, they still come thru sometimes but it's a damn low rate.
Which leads me to believe this is just either an attempt to get the ISPs to spend thousands if not more on tech to "ban" porn. This has nothing to do with a ban on porn, it's censoring it. That is bullshit, that is not having the freedom to search whatever your heart desires on the net without having to call your ISP and having the worlds most awkward conversation
update
http://www.whitehouse.gov/ "The White House of President Barack Obama" smh, they should spend their time on getting the tech to further prevent the already illegal pirating! what a joke
